Live: Mass protests in Gaza and Istanbul as Muslim world reacts

Protesters target US embassies
More US embassies have tonight been targeted by protesters amid rising anger over President Trump’s speech declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Demonstrators have been filmed chanting outside an embassy in Amman, Jordan in unverified footage.

US embassy staff have already warned people not to send their children to school over fears of angry protests.

The US embassy in Ankara, Turkey, was also the scene for angry activists while arrangements were being made for a sit-in protest tomorrow in Kuwait.

The beauty of Israeli strategy is, that they (Israel) get the benefit and US is targeted.

the world is full of ironies and ignorant people.
Too much flippin irony and way too much ignorance. Well said. The guy has not sussed that it is "British" and not "Britishers" but his giving us profound comments on geo-politics. A hammer would have greater success in trying to thread a needle then ignorance has of abstracting the world around it.

Agreed but there also another beauty to this story the Hamas and Hezbollah missile cannot reach USA so they target Israel. What a fools they are, they were living in peace and they just bought hell deliberately. What will this do nothing instead it will start violence.

Istanbul has gained the right to protest as 400K Shehits were offered for the defense of Kudus during WW1. And, front wise that's the max!!!! The entire Saltanat was lost for Ulu Hakan Sultan Abdul Hamid Han (RA) didn't concede to sell Palestine to the Zionists....

You Turks need to chill.

No one made you the Muslim Emir, these guys stabbed you in the back, lets see how much influence their $Hundreds of Billions have.
Other than few tribes most of the Arab folks didn't back stab the Ottomans!!!!! Many of them served in the Ottoman army. The blood of the millions of Shehits has gained them right to speak for the Muslim heartlands.

Live: Mass protests in Gaza and Istanbul as Muslim world reacts with fury after President Trump says Jerusalem IS Israel's capital

President Trump has been warned peace in the Middle East could be under threat if the US becomes the first country to identify Jerusalem as Israel's capital

Reports: Palestinian forces plan Jerusalem 'strike'
Reports on social media suggest a “strike” is set to hit Jerusalem tomorrow.

Speculation suggests Palestinian national and Islamic forces will take action in the city after President Trump declared it Israel’s capital.

Elsewhere, reports suggest a “day in anger” will take in Lebanon while a march for Palestine is believed to be taking place in Tunisia.

It comes ahead of an expected outcry over President Trump’s announcement tonight at the White House.

Critics had warned Mr Trump he threatened peace in the Middle East if he went ahead with the plan.

The irony in the pictures is that who are ''bravely'' and furiously chanting in Turk streets are the same Syrians who run away from their own country without pulling a trigger.

Cat in war, but lion in streets; friendly in peace, but treacherous on the front line.

.
Man...not again!! Are these people are that naive...they are falling into the trap set by the US...all these protests spark violence...which gives Israel reason to use it's arms...not a single country protesting now...would dare to engage Israel or US!! Then why this fuss? Endangering lives of millions!!

ANKARA

Thousands of people across Turkey took to the streets to protest U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Several NGOs and civil society groups, including the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) and Turkish Youth Foundation (TUGVA), gathered city centers in every corner of the country to protest the move.

Many NGOs led by the AGD Istanbul branch staged a demonstration at the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul and chanted slogans against President Donald Trump and the U.S. and carried posters and banners supporting the Palestinians.

The TUGVA also organized another protest at Fatih Mosque in Istanbul as they called on Muslims to unite against the decision.

Another protest was held in Ankara in front of the U.S. Embassy building, where a statement was read stating the Palestinian crisis was a basic issue of all Muslims.

Similar protests were also held in almost every Turkish province, including Konya, Bursa, Antalya, Mugla, Manisa, Adana, Bartin, Karabuk, Samsun, Yozgat, Malatya, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaras, Sanliurfa, Sirnak and Diyarbakir.

On Wednesday, the U.S. president announced his decision -- despite widespread opposition across the Middle East -- to formally recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The announcement sparked strong condemnation from around the world, including Turkey, the EU and the UN.

Jerusalem remains at the core of the Israel-Palestine conflict, with Palestinians hoping that East Jerusalem -- now occupied by Israel -- might eventually serve as the capital of a future Palestinian state.

During his election campaign last year, Trump repeatedly promised to relocate the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
