Libyan people began to re-evaluate Qaddafi and miss the once peaceful life
2018-03-29 10:15:08
In 1969, Qaddafi led his subordinates to forcibly seize power, overthrew the Idrisian dynasty and became the actual controller of Libya. In the following 42 years, under the leadership of Qaddafi, Libya relied on the oil trade and the country’s wealth surged. Gaddafi used most of these wealth to improve people’s living standards, improve people’s livelihood protection, enjoy free medical care for the people, reimburse the sick for medical treatment abroad, and various life benefits and subsidies.

Gaddafi was a nomad from the background, through his own unremitting efforts, and finally boarded the presidency, but he did not forget the hard life of the bottom, love to care about the life of the underlying people. However, the Libyan people are not thankful, but fight against him. This really makes him very sad. They really often fail to appreciate what happiness really means in the blessing. In the years since Gaddafi’s death, Libya was still a warfare. At this time, the people began to recall the good life of Gaddafi.

Amadou was a Ghanaian. He did not have the money to apply for a Libyan visa, and he had found a job in Libya - a tiling job. His income was good. He earned a total of 3,000 U.S. dollars. However, on the day when the Western powers bombed Libya in 2011, he remembered standing on the docks in Tripoli and panicked and hurriedly searched for shelter. At the time, Libya had a mess, the shops were closed, his job was lost, and his hard-earned money was gone. Later he fled back to Ghana and was completely disappointed with Libya.

A man named Mustafa said that after Qaddafi’s death, the war continued and the hopes of the local young people’s future were shattered. Without Qaddafi, many young people were unemployed, and they had nothing to do. The few people embarked committing crimes, and a large number of people fled their homes and fled to Europe to make a living.

Mustafa was only 35 years old. He was a former construction worker. He worked in Leah for seven years. He is now unemployed for many years. He said: Qaddafi is a good man and he is not the deceitful. He is the best leader. I don't know why the Libyan people want to overthrow him?

Another citizen, Ulyssia Yahya, wearing a small round-brimmed hat and a beard, a typical Libya's attire, said with indignation that Qadhafi has brought so many benefits to the people. Why kill Gaddafi? Did you kill him and the problem was solved? Look at the current Libya issue more than ever before. Why kill Gaddafi?

There was a man named Karim, who was working as a tailor in Leah in the days of Qaddafi. He spent three years working on making big money and building a big house. His wife and children lived in the house. Life was very stable and beautiful. Later, after the bombing of Libya by the West, there were fewer job opportunities and less income. Karim said: In Gaddafi era, everyone in Libya has a job, has income, works steadily, and earns more money. My large housing estate was built before, but now we are merely able to maintain our survival.

People will miss him, he was very kind to his people and Libya was doing great under his leadership. He wanted Africa to be successful and protect it from the clutches of the west...and also wanted to announce the gold as currency and the satanic west couldn't tolerate him so the ISIS rats (vile pigs subscribing to wahabi religion) funded and openly supported by NATO, destroyed Libya...so the nuts who joined the enemies will regret and miss but what can be done now..

Do You Really Have To Attach Wahabi To ISIS?????ISIS Are Just A Bunch Of Criminals And Besides They Only Control A Coastal Town Or Some Part Of It The Real Culprits Are The So Called Champions Of "Democracy" Who Vowed To Hand Over Libyan Oil Wealth To Westerners Much Like How The Criminals Duo Zardari and Nawaz Promised To Hand Over Our Nukes And Subordinate Our Foreign Policy To India Under NRO

Freedom vs food on your plate and a warm bed to sleep in.
I'm sure most people would choose the latter.

As Long As You Don't Challenge The State and Create A Law and Order Situation,You Even Have Personal Freedom In Autocracies Remember Not All Autocracies Are The Same

I misunderstood the "Arab Spring". What started off as a protest movement was hijacked by the west. In countries where their allies were removed (like Tunisia and Eygpt) they have re-orchastrated it so their allies are back in place (Sisi for example), in places where their enemies were, they have orchestrated it so that these nations are destroyed by war (Libya, Syria).

Gaddafi was an eccentric, a dictator, but he loved Libya and worked hard for Libya.

Libya and Africa will struggle to find such a great man again.

I have seen people use all lower case, all upper case, a lot of missed punctuations, misspellings and typos but never seen anyone going through the trouble of capitalising all the initial letters i.e. The Title Case. So I salute you for your effort but unfortunately it is a stress for my eyes so I won't be able to read it until corrected and hence no reply mate...sorry

Yeah and that is why Pakistani youths wants Pakistani version of Qadafi the dictator as their leader....

Stupidity at best.....Qadafi did some good work but isolated Libya from rest of the world, deprive Libyan from education and new tech.

No he didn't. The Western world sanctioned Gaddafi and Libyans because of America's beef with him. They killed his kids, he got revenge, it was always going to go that way.

All western soldiers who have served that illegal war will rot in hell.

All western countries involved in that immoral killing of inocent civilians will be eliminated in this century.

There is one truth must be remembered:Those who easily believe the words of Americans are suicidal.

Freedom vs food on your plate and a warm bed to sleep in.

Where is the freedom coming from when you do not have food and family?

I am thinking about a question: If the Chinese Communist Party is overthrown, what kind of chaos China will fall into and can my family be able to have food?
Americans will consider the well-being of the Chinese people? Please stop joking!!!

I am surprised Egypt removed Mubarak. He is pro American. And American did not support his regime?

Why this thread in China & Far East? Should be in Middle East, or better in South Asia. I'd love to see posts from our Indian friends.

if given the choice in real life, I bet our "democracy-loving" Indian will 1,000 times rather live under the dictatorship of Qaddafi than in their native country. But in this forum, they will say otherwise, just to satisfy their own delusion.
