ISLAMABAD: The Law Ministry has hammered out a summary regarding Swiss cases re-opening to be addressed to the Prime Minister, Geo News reported Thursday.
According to sources, the Law Ministry has the summary ready to be dispatched to the premier.
The summary says the Swiss cases are closed now and there is no need to re-open them, adding the President is a part to the parliament and enjoys immunity.
The Law Ministry summary said writing a letter to a foreign government is in conflict with the national sovereignty.
The summary also says the President is supreme commander of the Pakistan Armed Forces and no government could be written a letter against him.
It should be mentioned here that Supreme Court (SC), while hearing the NRO Implementation case on Tuesday, directed the Law Secretary to send a summary to the Prime Minister for writing a letter to Swiss officials in accordance with the spirit of SC verdict.
