I do hope that you both have a good discussion, without rancour.

Edited.

Now show me where is the insult of whole nationality?

I did not say anything about chinese but he said about Indian nationality and you kept quite. A great piece moderation.

It works both ways. If you have a specific complaint, do please feel free to reach out. for the rest, I was not even on PDF when the two of you started taking swipes at each other :)

And your original remark uses a phrase specifically banned on this forum.

We had a very lengthy discussion about this "super-supercomputer" last year. He has tuned down quite a bit since. No bitterness at all.

I have, at the end of the day, only a very humble mediating role to play. Only the members can decide their positions.

I had so many lengthy discussion with many chinese but I do not remember their name is they are not easily rememberable and I do not care with whom I discussed so no question of any bitterness.

Ya and super computer will come. It will come in such a big way that none of you guys will ever be able to think to Match it.

In the end of day, there is no "132.8 exaflops super-super computer" in the horizon. So in fact you are the loser in our debate.

Smart people like Raghu are sadly not contributing to India's growth right now

What's wrong in chest thumping, bragging and boasting...aren't they add value to the growth curve...

It's like creating the right vibes, a kind of value addition...a marketing strategy. Perception building is part of the marketing job, even with falsehood and skewed/doctored figures.

There's a difference between marketing and fiction.

You are now describing the Indian mentality of this forum. Just see how Indian members slamming the guy for rejecting chest thumping and prefer humbleness.

It's just an difference in attitude. When India made the Supa Powa 2030 movie. It's an Indian that post it on here. It's the other Indians that "like" it and brag about it. Other nationalities would be ashamed if one of their own nationities made such a video for bragging. But not Indians. They know no shame.

Smart people like Raghu are sadly not contributing to India's growth right now

He is rejected for refused to brag. The current regimebrag more than the previous ones.

I was just being sarcastic....

I know the Indian mindset, generally speaking inside out, true that bragging and boasting is part of their psyche...cant help it. Let's take it on the strides.

For the rest of world, you would be exaggerating. But not about Indians, you are right on. They would take your sarcasm literally. And take your explanations as another reason for bragging. These guys replace bragging as the genuine reality. Insane.....

Haha...LOL another reason for bragging 'cause I bragged(praised) about Indian bragging habit is hilarious...

I've seen this in just about any forum, not just the PDF here. Even Raghu R used the word 'chest thumping'...he must be familiar about this Indian practice of self praise and chest thumping.

Truths are told, raw nerves are touched, and Rajan the messenger is attacked. Indian slave-mentality is on full display here. The same people who accuse Rajan of having a green card and not being "fully Indian" are the same people who take pride in Satya Nadella of Microsoft and Sundar Pichai of Google, both of whom have given up their Indian citizenship to become Americans. It seems that to be a credible critic of Indian policies, Rajan must first become an American citizen.

Indian Economy Paying Hefty Price for Demonetisation: Kaushik Basu
Krupali Thakkar, BloombergQuint

Updated: 13 September, 2017 4:31 AM IST

The slowdown in India’s economy in the first quarter is largely due to the impact of demonetisation extending into the new fiscal, World Bank's former chief economist Kaushik Basu told Bloomberg in an interview.

The country’s gross domestic product grew 5.7 percent while the growth in gross valued added terms grew at 5.6 percent in the first quarter of the current fiscal, the lowest in three-years. Basu believes that downturn is more than what was anticipated.

Responding to a question on the government's miscalculation of the amount of black money in the system, the former chief economic adviser of India said, “What is particularly shocking is 99 percent of the junked Rs 500 and 1,000 notes have returned to the banking system.”

On the whole, Basu said, the government’s decision to demonetise old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes in November last year was misplanned and in poor judgement, and the country is paying a hefty price in terms of its economic growth.

However, he believes that the shock will wear off after two quarters unless the government makes a “mistake” like demonetisation again. He expects the economy to recover by 2018.
