1. New norm by BJP will be fake airstrikes as this will harm Pakistan more than india. Any escalation puts Pakistan economy at stand still vs india only western economy. Unless things escalate to effect the radicalized people of india..the next response should be something to hurt that radiculzed population to see what is their breaking point

2. People to people relationship matter more than strategic relationship ..this is evident from response from UAE vs Turkey

3. Today is the Era of economy ..war is fought on money.. Establishment if exists in Pakistan, must consider economic terrorism as threat to country as well. Basic economic understanding takes couple of hours to understand.

4. New war will fought by aerial engagements first ..thus airforce should have first priority ..this lesson was learned by Israeli long time ago

5. Soft power is important and it comes from your culture and economy. Which we destroyed

6. Pakistan will have consider an approiate response to kulbushan threat. Rather thsn just securing its own boarders ..everything is acceptable in war

7. With radicalization of indian general population and especially and importantly the elite war is Iinevitable ..

8 china is emerging power. We need to ASAP strengthen people to people relationship with them. As ultimately this will matter

9. Our elite liberal educated class doesnt understand the importance of strong military ..india will never backdown unless we give them GB and azad Kashmir ..does anyone believe otherwise?

The PAF did well especially shooting down indian jets but once the get Raphael it will be a step up

I will however call the current episode as political and diplomatic failure(due to negligence of economy and people to people contacts in last 30 years) and military sucess

We can fight india head to head because we have the required manpower but we lack active modernization program and in a decade or two the gap will be wide enough in favour of India.

9 - PAFs rules of engagement(ROE) need to be changed. They allow India to get the initiative and force PAF to react, rather than stopping the issue stone cold dead. I hope PAF have learned their lesson and will change their ROE to fit the era we live in, and not some old dated notion of gentlmanly rules of the game.

Alot of bother could have been saved, if the Indias were convinced that PAF WILL shoot them down.

10 - More long range SAMs in the S400 class are required. PAF jets cannot be everywhere all the time. SAMs allow for a more persistent anti-aircraft denial capability.

11 - PAF needs to increase the number of squadrons/aircraft she has. PAF needs be more top heavy when compared to PA or PN. Next incident will start in the air, just like this one. If PAF has more aircraft, then we can stop it in the air. if PAF are weak, then the issue could spread further afield.

12 - I take back my comments about the ACM of PAF. He can keep his job. I do still think, he needs to visit action item 9 and formulate and execute a plan on those ideas.

13 - Actionable deterrence deters India. The strike by PAF bought home the message to Modi & Co that everytime they have political issues, a "surgical strike" against Pakikst an is not the answer to get voters to vote for you. The question will Modi & Co risk SS3/4/5/6.. etc.. action items 10 and 11 will help deter for sure.
