A highly sensitive interviews.

Below interview will be suicidal today when Anglo Jews political correctness is fully unleash. While public Singapore policies has a slight discriminatory tint against Chinese, and Chinese is demonized as big racists, likely within the inner psyche, Singapore elites feel Chinese is least racists.

Likely part of Lee Kuan Yew desire is communicating while the public policies is against Chinese especially recently, GoS is compelled to do so by some forces.

it's true, Islam is a whole different lifestyle, its hard to integrate properly when you are practicing Muslim and religion is not very easy to kill off, only USSR successfully killed it with force

US and Muslim community in Latin America seems to be thriving without any major issues, Europe is a different case

I did not find anything explosive. He is restating Two nation theory with Singapore characteristics. Two nations don't necessarily mean a border and sovereignty, it can also mean separateness. For over 3 centuries, here in U.S.A, we have had two nations, Black and White. We vote in the same elections, same Congress, courts etc., but very different human experiences. In Europe, you see this Two nation theory very easily. If you go to Paris, you see the French Muslims in the outer suburbs whereas the non-Muslims are in the inner city. Here in U.S., African Americans tend to be more in inner cities.

You want something Politically Incorrect? This is today's news:

‘Satanic Verses would have never been published if Rushdie had written it today’

that's ghettoization - why aren't Muslims in Latin America, US facing this issue (Latin American Muslims are Arabs, centuries-old immigration)
why is this happening in Europe? - Muslim hui's of china also live comfortably

Muslims will eat a certain way like jews, marry their own like jews, will have societal divides like jews between Jubbah-wearing conservatives and liberals - that's a trend across the globe but some countries are more accepting of this than others

US is a great place to be Muslim and a Jew cause of its more easy-going accepting atmosphere, Latin America is a great place to be muslim
Jews were hated everywhere and Muslims too to some extent but due to their numbers cant be threatened like jews

The word Ghetto has acquired a negative connotation today, but it was the name given to the Jewish quarter of a city in Europe since Jews and non-Jews (Gentiles) lived separately - the original two-nation theory, if there is one. Here in U.S., many big cities have Chinatowns where early Chinese immigrants liked to live among their kin, mainly due to language and cultural issues. The reason Muslims don't segregate as much in U.S. compared to elsewhere is due to the intense power of American culture to assimilate others. It is really challenging for a 2nd (and beyond) generation persons to maintain native culture and traditions.

Take for example Mehmet Oz, a child of Turkish immigrants. He is so assimilated that he stood for election to become a Senator from Pennsylvania as Republican candidate, that too as a Trump devotee. Though his name is Mehmet, all his family members are non-Muslims.

Thriving because % muslim < 1-3%. Problem starts ~7%

Lee Kuan Yew never mentioned that Shia community in Singapore is quite peaceful and integrates better. Only Sunni demands special treatment.

And strangely the entire Singapore MSM is giving impression that Shia is extremist and praising Sunni as moderate.

. .
I saw many Muslims cheered for the Islmization of Europe. I don't know what they cheered for. Is it Muslims' victory if Europe becomes another North Africa?

Well, You can check all the countries where muslim problem. You will know the threshold number
France has 9%, russia is 13% , UK is 7%, Netherland is 7%, sweden is 9%, singapore is 15%, Austria is 10%,. They all have sizable muslim population and doing great economically.

UAE is 76% and Qatar is 75%. Saudi is 97%... doing well.. your point is based on your hatred for muslims and you will twist to fit your logic.. shame ful

I am not well versed with various sects of Muslims, but here in U.S., interestingly, it is the Ahmediyyas who are very ecumenical among all Muslim sects. They hold open houses, take part in social services and generally behave like yet another church so much so that many Americans think of them as just another church (we have, after all, quite a wide spectrum of beliefs).

Lee Kuan Yew was commenting on assimilation, not economic success. If you see all the countries you listed, it is visible, even for a visitor, there is a high degree of separateness among Muslim community. It is the separateness that LKY was talking about.

Ahmediyas are ethnocentric and only Punjabis can become imam or hold higher positions in the sect, unlike most muslim clergymen wear a Punjabi pagh- that's a phenomenon across the world, recent convert face biases
so the open minded, easy-going image is a bit of a farce
although it's true that from the outside are big on conversion, and preaching activities
but they are not considered a sect of Islam by most mainstream Muslims, a different religion

Islam is a incredible faith, why shouldn't Muslims celebrate the spreading of the will of God?
