It's well over 26 Lac Rs in Pakistan and that too for only 1.8L Heavily Overpriced(besides, the chassis of this car is very heavy and its undpowered with 1.8l engine).My Suggestions: For mid budget go for Honda city (brand new) or Toyota Corolla GLI otherwise in 1.8 category i would only go for Civic but honestly i would suggest you to sell Platz and add some more money buy some car within your budget (ie a Swift or Vitz) because these leasing wala charge too much premium.

You are wasting your life in a maxima , its not different from living with a really cocky girlfriend. Take my word sale and buy something older but rougher ie older model of Skyline , STI Impreza , SX-200 etc that is what a MAN drives.

first John..
Im on a lend lease if you may.

I had rs 725000 financed
with 25% down payment.. that comes to about 181250..
and the rest was paid by the bank... at which point I got the car.
the lease was for 5 years..
i.e it started in 2006.. started with payments of 20000 per month.. for about two years..and 15000 for the last three.
in any case.. the amount that i ended up paying to the bank was around 900000.. which was expensive..
but I took at as paying 15000 or 20 per month to be able to drive that car.
Now..
the lease ends next month..which means the car will be completely mine.

Now.. how much will I be able to sell that car..
I really cant say..but I expect at least 750000...
So.. out of that..

what cars do I get.
the swift available in pakistan is the 1.3L petrol with power windows,ABS etc.. no airbags though costs about
but only in manual tranny.. which I dont like. costs around 1100000 pkr or 579698.0 Inr.. which I think is overpriced..
comparatively.. a refurbished toyota vitz with all of the above and a top end sound system..with auto tranny costs 1000000..

I dont consider the mehran/maruti 800 a proper car anyway(sorry if I hurt feelings here ).. I joke with people who buy them.. congratulating them by telling them that hopefully god will help them get a real car next time.

Now for the large car.. Ive been told that I can get a 2006 honda civic..

for around 7 to 9 hundred thousand

now..

The other option which I have is to keep the platz.. which I like a lot..
And get the civic or a comparable car alone.. by giving a down payment of around 200000 and having the rest financed..
that way.. I will have one car to my name anyway..
