Lawyer smashes judge's head with chair during court proceedings in Jaranwala

In a rare act of violence in a courtroom, a lawyer on Thursday smashed the head of a senior civil judge with a chair in a local court during proceedings in Jaranwala near Faisalabad.

According to Express News, advocate Imran Manj of the local court attacked the civil judge, Khalid Mehmood Waraich, with a chair over a minor dispute and escaped the scene unchallenged.

The injured was rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Sources, privy to the development, said the medico-legal certificate has been acquired to take legal action against the accused lawyer.

Judge seeks action against abusive lawyers

However, an FIR of the incident has been registered and the police were carrying out raids to arrest Mani, they added.


Meanwhile, judges have announced strike against the misappropriate behaviour of lawyers.

Following the unpleasant incident, the Tehsil Bar Jaranwala announced disassociation with advocate Mani and the Punjab Bar Council has been approached to cancel the legal licence of the accused.


In the similar incident on April 8, lawyers allegedly thrashed a warden and an assistant warden for trying to issue them a challan over a violation of traffic rules.

Reportedly, the traffic wardens stopped the lawyers who were riding in a vehicle on Jail Road over the violation of using a cellphone while driving.

Only a stupid will believe in indian claims of origins of different castes, people are what they believe themselves, they are not what others (indians) believe about them. If we go by indian claims half of rajputs and jatts in punjab are descended from bhatti and chauhan rajputs. And one indian gangu brahmin once shared certified proofs on a different forum that chauhan themselves are descendants of Brahmins who turned Rajputs and created their own new agni kula or fire lineage, he also claimed that majority of modern rajputs are descendants of hindu Brahmins because ancient hindu kashatriyas (warrior) caste was mostly eliminated due to wars against outside invasions before 1500 years.

i agree but large number of chauhan are gujjars too so history get too messy and at the end of day gujjar,jatt,rrajput identity in pakistan is based on profession , maybe that's the reason warrior profession suits rajputs more and they have most nishane haider in paksitan
