They both look quite young, specially CC Karachi Naveed Mukhtar

The fight in the favelas was very dirty, suspects were summarily executed without trial because the BOPE knew that if these guys come back out of prison, the continent will not be safe for them. If we go into Karachi, that's how its going to have to be; go in, kill, come back out with your hands clean, no witnesses.
I don't believe our nation has still managed to develop the stomach for this course of action, it will require civil society, government and civil administration to turn a blind eye until the mess has been cleaned up, until then, it will remain impossible for anyone in Karachi to buy a new bike and clock 500km before having it snatched, it will be impossible for a decent trader to earn a profit and see his family alive at the same time, it will be impossible for any police officer to actually do any police work and I'm just scratching the surface here, Karachi is a festering rot, the sooner we amputate the gangrenous part, the sooner we can talk about resuscitating the rest of the city.
Sir,
Not, in a very recent past I was sitting with an Inspector - Cont Int team of the agency in question, he was posted in bara back then , his previous assignment was in Karachi for three yrs - 2009 to 2011, his exacts words were and I quote " yara yehi karachi mein hum agar saddar mein ja rahe hoon tou yehi dar lga rehta tha ke kis side se koi ura jaye ga - koi gangster, ya tou lej walay, aur agar baach gaye tou taliban ne mil jana hai -, Bara mein ye sakoon hai kam se kam ye tou pta hai , ke apna kon hai aur dushman kon"

and I hope and pray that our new CC utilize his experience from the agency and put his weight behind the operations -- atleast get rid of Taliban from city - and I hope he will follow the same within Armed forces and clean them off

In the Pak Army, there are many cases where officers are not promoted to higher ranks due to favoritism and politics. The senior command may find it very easy to sign a decision over their files but it severely affects the lifestyles and future of a family and its generations to come. This is no new topic, there have been countless such incidents where Merit was overtaken by personal relation and liking for a senior promotion. Why doesn't the senior command have a transparent criteria set for a promotion from Brigadier to Maj-Gen level? What special analytical skills are required to decide the fate of a handful of selected people? If a person has met all the criteria, but was unfortunate enough for not being able to play golf with a corp commander, or his children were not best friends with the commander's children. Only recently I jut came across such a case, where the officer was a fellow deserving a 2 star promotion but was superseded by his junior who was famous in the corp for manipulation and politics. Why wasn't merit truly considered here?
