People in the Western World make entire careers out of criticizing religion.

Bangladesh isn't exactly tolerant nor intellectually competent enough as far as implementing and accepting freedom of speech goes (religion)

But it is liberal compared to other Muslim-majority nations.

It's way out of their league for the most part. Yes, including GoB. Especially since the politics of Bangladesh is volatile in nature and far from stable.
