i think pak should abandon playing cricket at international level. we neither have the talent nor the system to compete at the international level.
as far as this bowler is concern he surely is suffering from gigantism. there is a question mark about his fitness depending upon his growth hormone level. if God forbid his GH level remain high he will develop acromegaly which can adversely affect his health. for a spinner he needs more skill rather then height.

I hear you but you are missing a point here. In NBA most players are above 6"5 to 7 and its part of their gene. However, on contrary, how many 7 foot people you see on streets of Pakistan?

This dude doesnt seems normal and I wouldnt be surprise that after sometime we will get to know that his massive structure is highly fragile. Similar hype was created for Irfan but his fitness is horrid. When he runs in the park than it looks like 90 years old grandma running after her grandchild.

I agree - The issue isn’t his height but his athletic ability. You can be short or tall and still be a poor athlete.

Selection should be based on athletic ability/skills.

I’m a little over 6 feet and Indians and Pakistanis still ask me if I’m a ‘fast bowler’ and when I say no, ‘why not’ Because I never played competitive cricket and was not even close to as good a bowler (or as quick) as some of my much shorter schoolmates.
