After Diesel's recent comment at IK, I had posted that Kufur fatwa will follow. And here it is. These scums are too damn predictable.

PMLN, PPP, ANP, JuIF (face of TTP) and these Ulema Su are all after IK. Fatwa is the latest tool of attack.

LAHORE – Pir Muhammad Afzal Qadri, a religious scholar who issued Fatwa of infidelity against Shaan Taseer, has written an open letter to Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Imran Khan over his speech regarding prophet Muhammad (PBUH), warning him of facing ‘dire consequences’ if he doesn’t render an apology.

The Fatwa alleges that Imran Khan, in one of his speeches, had said blasphemous sentences for the Prophet (PBUH) and ‘accused’ him of being mentally ill.

Talking to Daily Pakistan, Pir Muhammad Afzal Qadri said that if the leader doesn’t render an open apology, the organisation will formally issue a religious edict, declaring him a ‘Wajib-ul-Qatal’ (liable to death).

“If the state fails to execute Imran Khan, it wouldn’t be a crime if any ‘aashiq-e-Rasool’ (lover of prophet P.B.U.H) kills him. He will be exempt from Qisas and Diyat (blood money),” Qadri told Daily Pakistan, adding the blood of blasphemer – in this case, Imran Khan’s – has no worth compared to Prophet (PBUH).

Just recently, Qadri had also issued a ‘Kufr’ fatwa against Shaan Taseer, son of the slain Governor Salman Taseer, for allegedly committing blasphemy in his ‘Christmas special’ video message.

It is pertinent to note that under the National Action Plan (NAP), religious extremism and persecution was outlawed. Hate speech and threats under the label of religious beliefs were supposed to be dealt with high sensitivity. However, the majority of the hate speech has gone scot-free.

IK is making a huge mistake by trying to pander to extremists. The thing about them is, the more you give in to them, the more they want from you. His politics for the past 3-4 years has been to pander to the reactionary right wing. He thought by doing so, he would be protected. Just like Bhutto, IK, ever the populist thinks he can ride the reactionary right wing and use it for his own advantage. And just like Bhutto, if IK does not learn and change his tactics, the animals he tried to pander to will eventually consume him.

Just a few cents from someone who's family has bled more for this great country than many of the mulla phattus posting on this forum.

Amazing isnt it, that we never bother to open history books and learn something! The similarities between IK and ZQB are becoming starker day by day. He had the platform to turn the nation against bigotry and jahalat, but instead pandered to the far right. This propagated fatwa has no technical value, and the purpose of this thread is non other than winning IK a sympathatic vote, while toying with religon.

I have the right to differentiate between right and wrong. The issue here is that I don't have any right to express my opinion publicly in the matters which I have no or little knowledge. The choice is yours to listen to a doctor who has read an English translation of Quran and then starts to speak in front of Public about matters of Nasikh o Mansookh. The issue of blasphemy is a sophisticated issue, without in-depth knowledge and understanding of subject matter people should avoid issuing absolute statements. Yeah, you should speak about Amar bil Maarof, Fazail, Good manners, and behaviors etc. Specialized subjects should be left to the specialist of the subject.

Bro, You are absolutely right. In this particular case I feel the Molvi Sahab went a bit too far by declaring him a Kafir and wajibul Qatal. Molvi Sahab should have remembered, our Lord is the same one who forgave a prostitute for giving water to a thirsty najas animal, a dog. Then there is the incident of the guy who had murdered 99 people, and sought forgiveness. A direct approach to IK , and seeking clarification would have been a better option, rather than issuing a death warrant in the media.

IK's intention was by no means to malign, hurt, damage, or take Islam of on a tangent, so a fatwa like this is very questionable. Don't you think so?

In Pakistan, you can be prosecuted under the law for being a fake doctor, or a fake engineer, but a fake molvi - No.
