Anyone in Pakistan who’s a fan of EDM knows the American band, Krewella because they’re comprised of Pakistani-American sisters. And we love anyone who’s proudly **** despite not even having been born here, don’t we?
Krewella has been fast gaining popularity among EDM aficionados

Comprised of singers/songwriters and sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf, Krewella have been playing since 2007. Originally, they had a third member, Kristopher “Rain Man” Trindl, but the dude left the band after a nasty battle that even reached the courts.
So, they posted a handwritten note on their Facebook page for their fans in India revealing they’ve been denied visa by India because they’re Pakistanis by heritage
“It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that due to our Pakistani heritage, our visas have been repeatedly denied and we will not be able to your country for Sunburn Festival”, said the band in their statement.

“Our team tried every avenue possible but now have reached the end. We are so heartbroken since we were looking forward to being reunited with our Desi Krew. We hope that the state of affairs between the 2 countries can be resolved someday soon”, they continued.

According to the Guardian, “Pakistani ethnic origin is detected through questions about place of birth and previous nationality, both for the applicant and their parents. Disclosing a link with Pakistan triggers demands for extra information and a long processing period, which in many cases makes travel to India impossible.”
The Sunburn Festival, touted as Asia’s largest EDM festival is held primarily in Goa, India every year.
This year, it celebrates its 10-year anniversary in Pune on Dec. 28 through Dec. 31 with names such as Armin Van Buuren and Axwell & Ingrosso performing. Krewella were scheduled to perform on Dec. 29.
