Chinese and North Koreans fought in the same danm war. The Chinese were basically disposable meat shields who overwhelmed infantry positions with shear numbers.

You see this again and again throughout history. The Chinese were never good at combat. They were only good at using their superior numbers to overwhelm. Whenever they faced a smaller but tactically competent army, they lost. Like when a few thousand Silla Korean soldiers sent +200k Tang Chinese soldiers crying home.

Or when the "VASSAL" state known as the British Empire was able to subjugate Chinas +200 million man population with only a few thousand men. If China actually had militiary competency, they would have conquered the entire world long long ago due to superior numbers.
