Khyber PakhtunkhwaHealth Minister vows for better health care facilities
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health Shaukat Ali Yousafzai, has said the Provincial Government is working according to its agenda and taking initiatives to provide best health care facilities for the poor people.
Along with other fruitful initiatives, Insulin Bank is being established in Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar it will soon be inaugurated formally. Rs. 25 million has been allocated for this project out of which 12.5 million has been released to the Health Department and the remaining 12.5 million has been transferred to Hayatabad Medical Complex. He said this while talking to the doctors and other concerned officials at Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar. Deputy Director EPI Dr. Janbaz Afridi, Chief Executive LRH and other concerned authorities were also present on this occasion.
The Health Minister on the occasion urged doctors and other staff members to play a vital role in bringing about visible changes as the Provincial Government was committed in this regard.
He further added, a graceful structure had been formulated for the doctors, which would certainly be helpful to redress the problems of doctors. He said poor people cannot afford private hospitals and they highly depended on public hospitals. The aim was to provide them free treatment for fatal and costly diseases. Once the Insulin Bank was formed, the underprivileged class would be treated for free. The purchase of Insulin had already been done while the registration had also been started from February 1, 2014, he concluded.
