I can't see India escalating on the LAC, they'll fortify their positions and boast about how they will crush China or Pakistan or both but beyond that nothing more.

It could be that, after the 1999 Kargil operation and us capturing the highest military positions like point 5353, they've given up on attacking Azad Kashmir so with their position in Siachen they thought to themselves that they could attack us at Gilgit but with China's moves in the Galwan now that is a risky option and they're stuck unable to do anything.
