How did you keep learning Malayalam when you were moving throughout the country in your childhood?

My mamma!
She made sure we spoke in malayalam to her.And thank god she did that, we hardly had malayalees around so the chances of talking in malayalam to someone else was remote.
Thats a question I wanted to ask you always.

Never spoke much Malayalam after I came to New Zealand. I hardly speak it now. Much of what I know is what I have learned in childhood (started reading newspapers when I was eight )

By now you must 've developed the Australian accent too ..lol
But I must say you still 've good knowledge of malayalam and kudos to that.I started reading malayalam way later,somewhere in my late teens.The issue was that I never got much stuff to read in malayalam.But I'm working on it now,its never too late they say.

Yep thats Sara Nuru...it so happened last nite that me and my "whatever" friends were having a discussion on DPs.
I used mother Teresa first but she's too angelic for me.So after sometime I removed her pic and I used Rani Laxmi Bai,but again I dont have any of her traits so I had decided to use somebody like Nandita Das.Lol
I liked this gal,but she wasnt my first choice.I liked pic of another African gal but somehow I could not upload it.So I finally settled for this one.
I also had Baichung Bhutia as my DP for sometime.
