Islamabad, Nov 4: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M) Pakistan chapter on Friday voiced its serious concern over the decision of granting Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to India and made a passionate appeal to the incumbent regime to revisit its wisdom keeping in view the supreme sacrifices of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a communiqué addressed to the president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chairman Parliamentary Kashmir Committee Moulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and the leader of opposition Chudury Nisar Ali Khan, the APHC expressed serious reservations over the federal cabinet meeting decision and demanded the government to revisit its trade policy regarding India.
During an extraordinary session held at the amalgams office, the Hurriyat representatives condemned in strong terms the PPP governments decision and termed it as tantamount to adding insult to the injuries of Kashmiris.
They resolved that the decision was not acceptable to the people of Kashmir who they said have sacrificed. Keeping in view the fast changing regional and international scenario Pakistani government should have put on hold its decision until the long-running dispute of Kashmir was resolved peacefully, he added.
