Protesters set ablaze the house of a local army man who had allegedly fired upon protesters at Larkipora here in south Kashmir on Tuesday, reports said.
As reported earlier a youth Amir Ganie of Naidpora was killed in forces firing at Larkipora this morning.
Reports said that after Amir was laid to rest protesters marched towards the house of the local army man, Sajjad Ahmad Itoo who works as a soldier with Army's 19th Rashtriya Rifles who according them had opened fire, and set his house ablaze.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Will there be an outpouring of grief from the media/"intellectuals" for the horrors this Kashmiri has had to endure?

These incidents highlight more than ever what is REALLY going on in Kashmir these days ( "Azadi" is almost irrelevent) and the selection bias in the media is being exposed for all to see.

First the Kashmiri state assembly refused to provide land to their vetrans for Sanik colonies and now they are unable to keep them safe in their own homes, this is totally unacceptable and if the GoI hadn't sold themselves out for meaningless poltical gains (PDP alliance) they may have been in a position to do something about it.

India partitioned because of religion and kashmir was a left over because india decided it wanted eternal strife in south asia by invading a muslim majority state

No, there are only 1 or 2 cities from what I know.

As for Hindus decreasing in Pakistan, it's because we didn't try to integrate them like India did for its Muslim population. And the fact that they receive poor treatment too doesn't help.

The more this gets highlighted as religious extremism, the less liekly K issue will be taken seriously anywhere. So far this has been a big success for India... The more dumbass Kashmiri protesters do stuff like this, the better it is for India in the long run....
