Thousands of people supporting the 'Kashmir cause' came out on the streets of London to show solidarity with the citizens of Indian-Kashmir in their decades-long struggle for the 'right of self-determination'.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his sister Assefa Bhutto Zardari also participated in the rally.
"Some miscreants threw bottles at the stage from where the participants of Kashmir Million March were to be addressed," witnesses said. Former prime minister of Pakistan-Kashmir, Barrister Sultan said India’s sympathizers tried to sabotage the procession.
“We have gathered here to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and to divert attention of the international community towards Kashmir issue,” Barrister Sultan Mehmood said.
He said this struggle would continue till the independence of Kashmir.
In a message on micro-blogging website twitter, Assefa Bhutto Zardari posted: “Indian agents tried 2 stop my brother from speaking but Alhamdulillah they did NOT succeed. He completed his speech& Alhamdulillah he is safe.”
"Lavangey lavangey poora Kashmir lavangey. Humara nara sab se bhari , Rai shumari Rai shumari " chanted @BBhuttoZardari !!!
Some participants objected to Bilawal Zardari’s presence at the stage. They said that they came to support only Kashmir cause and that nobody would be allowed to do politics.
The PPP chairman was safely escorted by the British police from the demonstration site.
