Bullet-ridden body of CID worker found in Pulwama in J&K
The deceased has been identified as Imtiyaz Mir who worked with the CID department.

PULWAMA: A bullet-ridden body of a Crime Investigation Department (CID) department official was on Sunday found in Chewa-Kalan area of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.

The deceased has been identified as Imtiyaz Mir who worked with the CID department. As per reports, Imtiaz was travelling in his car when he was attacked.

The incident comes close on heels after a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer was killed in a terrorist attack in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. "In the intervening night, a standoff fire by terrorists took place at the grid Station Wagoora in Budgam district in which one ASI of CISF sustained serious bullet injuries," a police spokesman said.


"The injured ASI Rajendra Prasad was evacuated to the hospital for medical attention but succumbed to his injuries at the hospital," the spokesman said.
