In this context, we were planning to display a few documentaries and short films about Kashmir to help strengthen our understanding about the Kashmir stand-off and to take an active political stance regarding the its independence.”

Meanwhile, Nurul Haque Nur, Ducsu VP urged the Indian government to solve the Kashmir crisis in an acceptable manner. He also urged the international community to be aware about Kashmir, adding that: “There is a responsibility of the world community to be deeply concerned about Kashmir, as it should not have to face suppression, including a mass scale of human rights violation following Bosnia and Myanmar.”

Also addressing the event, noted columnist Altaf Parvez said: “It is reasonable for the people of Bangladesh to associate with Kashmir's freedom movement. In our constitution, it is mentioned that Bangladesh will express solidarity with any people who are facing oppression in any place of the world.

He appreciated the initiative of the students taken for Kashmir and expressed solidarity.

“Human experiences in places like: Kashmir, Sikkim, Bhutan says the situation has been unsettling for Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. So it is expected for these countries to agree with Kashmir's liberation struggle for their own interest”, Altaf emphasized.
