Anti-India protests and clashes erupted in the main city of Srinagar in India-held Kashmir after three Kashmiri suspected separatists were killed in a gun battle with government forces on Wednesday.

According to police, the fighting began overnight after Indian troops raided western Radbugh village following a tip that “militants” were hiding there.

intifada literally means releasing the anger within yourself..on a broader scale it means rebellion and it doesn't necessarily mean a peaceful way of doing so

Thank you for clarification. I was of view that it is characteristically non violent because it is always refereed to in an idealistic way.

A year ago after Burhani Wani's killing the situation was quite volatile with terrorists moving freely. Now the situation is quite subdued with J&K police having total grip over the valley.
