Mumbai terror attack convict Ajmal Kasab on Thursday identified Abu Jundal at Arthur Road Jail as one of the conspirators of the attack, according to reports.

Ajmal Kasab and Abu Jundal were reportedly brought face to face at Arthur Road Jail on Thursday and were interrogated for one-and-a-half hours on the Mumbai attacks.

Mumbai police got permission from the state government to confront Kasab with his alleged handler Abu Jundal.

The police also reportedly wanted to study the differences and discrepancies in the accounts of the two men about the planning and execution of the 26/11 attacks.

The city Crime Branch had written to the state government last week, seeking to interrogate Kasab, who is lodged in a bullet-proof cell at Arthur Road Jail since 2008. Jundal, whose real name is Zaibuddin Ansari, was deported to India after his arrest in Saudi Arabia in June this year. He is an Indian who was allegedly a member of the terror outfit Indian Mujahideen before joining the deadly Lashkar-e-Toiba.
