PESHAWAR: The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has handed over the traffic management responsibility of Hasanabdal-Abbottabad-Mansehra Section of the National Highways (N-35) to the National Highway & Motorway Police (NH&MP) for better management and to regularize the traffic over it, said a press release issued here by the Department of Home and Tribal Affairs on Wednesday.
The step has been taken on the proposal of the National Highway Authority (NHA).The National Highway (N-35), properly known as the Karakorum Highway (KKH), begins from Hasanabdal and ends at Khunjerab Top on the Pak-China border, traversing Abbottabad, Mansehra, Gilgit and Hunza (806 kilometers). It is the only road trade route between Pakistan and China.
