KARACHI: Paramilitary Rangers have decided to remove barriers around Bilawal House, the residence of former president Asif Ali Zardari, ARY News reported on Friday.
The Rangers have decided to set aside the barriers in Karachi obstructing the public movement in the metropolis. The paramilitary agency has recently removed obstacles from the residence of former president Pervez Musharraf in General Colony of Karachi.
The home department of Sindh had written a letter that the barriers around Bilawal House should not be removed due to security concerns to the former president and People’s Party Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
According to sources, the Rangers authorities have prepared a response to the home department letter. The Rangers reply said that no one will be allowed to create hurdles at public places and close key roads and streets.
Rangers letter said that for security of Bilawal House closure of the entire road has been unlawful and urged for removal of the barriers to open the road for public movement.
