1 killed as anti-US protesters rally near US consulate in Karachi.
Published: 16 September, 2012, 18:24

One person was reportedly killed and six others injured by police fire when anti-US protesters clashed with security forces outside the US consulate in Karachi, Pakistan's largest city.
Police deployed water cannons, and fired tear gas and warning shots to disperse crowds of angry protesters, who threw rocks at the US consulate and set fire to a nearby police station.
Witnesses reported that protesters tore down the consulate's American flag.
The Shia Muslim student organization Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen announced that it is organizing a large sit-in to protest the death of the protester, as well as the incendiary anti-Islamic movie.
Protesters held anti-US rallies in cities across Pakistan, demanding the expulsion of the US ambassador and calling for a boycott on all American goods and services, RT's Paula Slier reported.
The protest in Karachi is the latest in a spate of anti-US protests throughout the Islamic world sparked by the inflammatory film 'Innocence of Muslims.'
On Sunday, hundreds of Afghan students held a protest rally in Kabul. Demonstrators chanted anti-US slogans, and burned an American flag and a poster of Barack Obama.

RIP the individual that died... Its being said that he got run over by fellow protesters when police fired warning shots in the air to disperse the crowd. Nonetheless, that Bacille (whatever his name is) is the one at fault. If US wishes to calm the anger in the muslim world than it needs to bring him to justice...

Bring him to justice ....

some one has to break the law to be brought to justice.

Freedom of expression, free speech is the topic here, "not shot gun justice." The writer of that remark is clearly educated and knows better.

I wonder how much this anti-American protest is genuine and how much of it is to use anti-Americanism to mobilize anti-MQM forces in Karachi?

Bomb it yourself. If you really care about the Prophet that much show your devotion to him. Prove your worth.

ther might as well be bomb proof bunker in there

@admin team.. You guys need to be careful about such remarks being hosted on this forum, considering this forum and servers come under the ambit of US laws.. Such posters in my view who advocate terrorist attacks should be banned permanently..

Taliban did it by attacking on crusaders in Afghanistan day back :guns: get ready for more attacks and please give me some WMD for US consulate like u provided to Sadam hussain

Taliban would have attacked american soldiers anyway. BTW just saw the movie. Its a badly made movie but strips down the character of a certain prophet for the world to see. It was quite funny really.

What's fing wrong with Pakistani Shias. Do they not know the price of religious violence? How many Shias have been killed in recent years.

One would expect that they would be on the forefront of religious tolerance, espousing patience, and concentrating on making Pakistan a peaceful place,.

Instead they launch into this $tupid violence and get their own people killed and in the process bring bad name to Pakistan.

If someone feels angry at the $tupid video, then calmly walk through a public square, carry some banners and then go home to your family ALIVE!

But no, these Shia organizations are proving that they are worse than Sunnis when it comes to expressing their religious sentiments.

pathetic. pathetic.

^^ Probably they want to take on the role of thekedaars and prove they are Muslims too (to the extremist Sunni orgs that dont consider them Muslim)...

What does genuine mean? Genuine to the locals? Most probably not. To the political party activists who planned it? Most probably yes.

It isn't that kind of anti-Americanism. It is the other kind, the one coming from our western neighbour. And this kind hasn't yet been counter-MQM.

What an ignorant act... if you really love Prophet Muhammad PBUH, then show your love by following his teachings - the teachings of peace and harmony. He (PBUH) was ridiculed in his life time but His (PBUH) companions didn't get violent, and even if they intended to, Muhammad PBUH always taught them to stay calm and let peace prevails.

Certainly, we're at fault here, we gave those morons a reason to ridicule us idiot Muslims.
