The Kalyani Group exhibited two families of vehicles at DefExpo 2020 in Lucknow and the Indian private-sector company is enjoying significant sales successes for its 4×4 protected vehicles, development of which only commenced in 2014.

On display was an example of the M4 multirole MRAP that has a kerb weight of 13.3t. The vehicle featuring a monocoque hull can carry seven passengers and a 2,700kg payload. It offers occupants STANAG 4569 Level 3 ballistic protection and Level 4a and Level 4b blast protection.

In that case, there's no point acquiring these. Our defence production shouldn't be limited to nut and bolt jobs. Also, the design sucks...Tata's carriers were way better
