Guys, I will ask nothing of you but to just go through these articles from Tarmak007 blog, and decide for yourself!
1.IAF’s top Sarang stunt pilot Wg Cdr Jetly dies
2. Sarang team’s top stunt pilot dies after 4 years in coma following Dhruv crash; wife pleads with IAF for a job in school
3. Ace pilot never got his retirement benefits!
1.IAF’s top Sarang stunt pilot Wg Cdr Jetly dies
Four years after the ill-fated crash of IAF’s Sarang ALH chopper in Bangalore, the pilot who hung on to life in a stage of coma, is no more.
Military sources tell Tarmak007 that the Jetly was admitted to Command Hospital in Bangalore for a long time and the doctors trying everything to bring him back to normal life. He is survived his by wife Shalini and two children. His colleagues in the Sarang Aerobatic Team remember him as an extremely brave pilot.
2. Sarang team’s top stunt pilot dies after 4 years in coma following Dhruv crash; wife pleads with IAF for a job in school
She further tells Tarmak007 that she had met all possible IAF officials within her reach with the request of giving her a job on compassionate grounds at the Subroto Park Air Force School. “I met many, gave my resume. I told them I am willing to even teach Class-I, II. Give me some job. I am tired,” she said, weeping profusely. Shalini says if she gets this job, she would be able to commute with her kids to school and back. “I can go in the school bus. Please help me, if you can.”
It is disturbing to know that the IAF even refused to entertain Shalini’s repeated pleas for a teaching job at the The Air Force School (TAFS), Subroto Park in New Delhi. While one thought that the job was the only worrying point, it is really shocking to know the kind of trauma the wife of a star pilot had to go through all these while.
3. Ace pilot never got his retirement benefits!
Jets’ family members tell Tarmak007 that so far, barring his provident fund (PF) -- which the IAF has no say in -- and a portion of his insurance dues, none of his other end-of-Service benefits have been delivered.
Remember: All this after one year of his retirement from IAF! There is no intimation yet on his pension, gratuity, leave encashment and part of insurance payments. Also Jets’ December 2009 salary and 5 days of January payments too never came through.
