Islamic knowledge of Holy Quran and Sunnah is enough for eligibility for Imam.scientific knowledge is a plus point but not necessary for Imams.In Holy Prophet(P.B.U.H) time there was no such requirement for Imam to have scientific and other modern knowledge but only Holy Quran and Sunnah was requirement

During the prophet's time the prophet was the Imam. And most Sunnah books were written some 200 years after his death.

there are clear instructions in Hadith Mubarak for eligibility to become Imam.if you look at them there is no requirement of science and modern knowledge to become Imam

There was no ''modern knowledge'' back then, hence not mentioned as such. However, the Holy Qur'an has referred to those people as ulema (the knowledgeable persons) who are awestruck because their insight has convinced them of Allah's power and Wisdom in controlling the universe perfectly. Various verses deal with different parts of the universe, different branches of nature, and different fields of science. Physics, botany, zoology, and the humanities are all touched upon. The people who have been called ulema in the Holy Qur'an, they are called scientists in modern terminology:
