Rigging in 21 constituencies established: sources

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) got proves of riggings in 21 constituencies of National and provincial assemblies, sources said citing a performance report of election tribunals.

According to the sources, the ECP has prepared a report regarding 18-month performance of election tribunals which would be presented to newly-elected Chief election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan.

According to the sources the report pointed out systematic rigging in 15 constituencies and partial rigging in 6 constituencies.

The election tribunals declared null and void elections in 15 constituencies.

The sources said that 8 candidates of ruling PML-N, 2 candidates of each PPP, PTI, and independent candidates, while one candidate of JUI-F were elected in the affected constituencies. -Samaa
