Iranian journalist departed with a few IRGC commanders/generals to a undisclosed location within Iran. Journalist asks the officers to name the location where they are supposed to arrive, they refuse to give him answer. and at end they go to a secret IRGC launching command center.

It can't be to secret if as the video showed they launched a missile from one of the silos. The location would be pinpointed the second it launched.

yes can be guessed from the trajectory of the missile....
not sure if pinlointed at the moment of launch

I don't remember where they are based, but the Shahaab3 silos are located near a very famous city in the north west.

Mr. AQ Khan tells us the Ghauri could be fueled up and prepped in 'as little as 2 hours'. This time would be virtually eliminated in this silo basing scheme wouldn't it - the rocket being perpetually fueled? Apparently Scuds have been known to remained fueled up years on end.

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has unveiled underground ballistic missile silos on the first day of the Great Prophet 6 military maneuver.

"The silos are a part of the swift reaction unit of the [IRGC] missile brigade; missiles are stored vertically, ready to be launched against pre-determined targets," Fars News Agency quoted the IRGC spokesman in charge of the drills, General Asghar Qelich-Khani, as saying on Monday.

Qelich-Khani said the country has been using domestically-built missile silos for fifteen years and added that the newer generation silos are operational from a launch control center located far from the launch pads.

The main advantage of missile silos is the reduced launch time as the weapons need not be moved or aligned prior to launch.

On Sunday, Commander of the Aerospace Division of the IRGC Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh short-, medium- and long-range missiles, namely Khalij Fars (Persian Gulf), Sejjil (Baked Clay), Fateh (Conqueror), Qiam (Rising), Shahab-1 and Shahab-2 missiles would be fired during the war games.

Hajizadeh stressed that Great Prophet 6 maneuver has completely defensive objectives and will be staged with the message of "peace and friendship."

IRGC's naval, air and ground forces staged the Great Prophet 5 military drill in the Persian Gulf in April 2010.

U.S. technology and capability has radically progressed from just relying on reverse trajectory calculations. The Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) is such an example.

SBIRS GEO-1 Successfully Launched, Ushering the Dawn of a New Era in Overhead Surveillance
"SBIRS is designed to provide global, overhead, persistent, infrared surveillance capability to meet 21st century demands in mission areas including missile warning, missile defense, technical intelligence and battlespace awareness."

It would be. This is Propaganda.

Iran unveils.. Look at the type of the picture, the way it is all done.

It is to showcase the missile.

@IranLand,
Is that a Shahabe seh? Why has it got an old-style nosecone? That tells me it carries a heavier payload and is therefore based closer to the target than a latter ti-conic shahab would be. If we look carefully, it is a short-body shahab, with smaller range as it is, and has smaller fins. Che khayal darii?

it is a early version of the Shahab my friend. it is the SHAHAB3 A not C version
