Let me take you through My retired life...

I live in a beautiful Place called Munnar, a place surrounded by Hills and Mountains, Vally's and and Lakes.....It feels to be Like in a paradise, wake up with a cup of tea, ordered from the tea Garden just a few meters away.... Then go to my garden to See if My onions,And carrots have woken up aswell, Give them an awakening call by Sprinkling some water on them and a Salute as usual....

Switch On the computer, open Nothing but the defense.pk website, Go out , would have a swim in the lake, come in and would opt non other than a Tapioca which grows in my garden, Cook it with some spices, Would enjoy it with some friends in Defense Pk, which would give me a feeling that I am not eating alone, But a house full of People.

Almost half of my day goes here, night time, I go for a walk, Lie down gazing at the stars,Submit a huge wishlist.. Have a swim again and lie down and wait for a New day to begin and Wish it would be all mine....

I am Looking to teach Local tribal Children here, so That I could spend My day more wisely.....

beautiful pictures indeed. but i have noticed that if you take picture of somewhere, it looks much more attractive and beautiful than you actually see it in real.

I have not been to much Places, but where ever I have been, this place is a heaven..... It would be great If there were lot of children around me.... I feel it though its too late now

All of the above is great except opening your computer and going on a military-political website. these political sites which contains lots of unpleasant events of the day will only ruin your retirement and your good day, so my advice is to ignore these sites and instead take a few lovely books and read them.

I do, But, Have seen me indulge in a fight here??? I am here to Gain what I lost in my teenage, I dint have friends,Dint play.... Was having lot of commitments, now Iam too old but yet trying to make good friends here.. There is a guy called jonasad , whom I like the most, he might be Anti-India but he sure is friendly... So Nothing is lost If you dont have anything to loose, Iam only trying to gain what I lost ages ago dear

That was not my point. You can make as many online friends as you want. But coming to political or military sites will only ruin your day because it will be full of bad news. These news personally gives me hard time and alot of pressure on the mind. Those pictures you have posted are so great, it looks like the place is very mind relaxing area, so dont spoil it with bad news around the world. If you can survive with the money, food, acccommodation etc you have got and can manange your old age as well as helping the locals, then dont worry about the military/political sites. enjoy your time.

Aah Munnar! I so wanted to visit it during my last trip to Kerala in Dec 09. There was a bloody transport strike and no cabbie was willing to take us there from Alleppey.

Munnar rated after Tokyo as Asia's best destination

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Munnar, the picturesque hill station in Kerala's Idukki district, has been rated as the second best Asian tourism destination after Tokyo by TripAdvisor, a popular travel guide and research website.

"Millions of travellers rely on TripAdvisor for travel inspiration. So we are thrilled and humbled that Munnar has been honoured by travellers this year," said V Venu, secretary, Kerala Tourism.

Munnar has won TripAdvisor's 2010 Traveller's Choice Destination award, which is determined by a combination of travellers' comments, unbiased reviews and overall popularity of the destination.

"With 15 million registered members, more than 34 million monthly visitors, and 30 million traveller reviews and opinions, TripAdvisor is no doubt the world's most popular and largest travel community. So we are delighted and thrilled to learn that Munnar has been rated so well," Said M. Sivasankar, director, Kerala Tourism.

Munnar's mountains, pristine valleys, sprawling tea plantations, and cool air have long been a favourite of Indian and foreign tourists.

In recent years, this beautiful hill station has been attracting adventure tourists. They are enamoured of the area's stunning topography, which is ideal for paragliding, trekking and rock climbing.

Nature lovers usually make a beeline for the Eravikulam National Park, which is home to colourful wildlife, including the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex), ruddy mongoose and 120 bird species.

Eight other Indian destinations -- Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Manali, Hampi, Goa, Udaipur, Gangtok, Bangalore and Dharamsala -- also figure in the top 25 Asian destinations list.
