Joe Biden offers full-throated support to India against China, Pakistan

I expect Biden/Harris to be anti-China, anti-Pakistan, anti-KSA, and anti-Russia. They will be pro Israel and Pro India. Linked article is a great primer on Harris's foreign policy. Interestingly enough Harris wanted to cut USA military spending.

Trump would be similar but his anti-Pakistan, anti-KSA, and anti-Russia stances are reduced. In general I believe the USA will continue to reduce its overseas military presence and be more domestically oriented irrespective of who wins the USA election..

He is courting Indian vote, nothing more. However Kamala is an Indian, so expect Modi influence if he wins.

Bad times await Pakistani Americans, if that happens.
I always say, democrats are very much leaned towards India. We Pakistanis blindly support democrats just because of that nonsense "Desi" label.

Republicans are mostly neutral with slight lean towards Pakistan due to historic and military relations.

I don't remember the exact source, but I believe it is based on some surveys of religion and belief in American subgroups, of which Muslims were one. Now a days, this number is quoted in Khutbahs all over the country and is a cause for much alarm.

It is a fact because even in my lifetime and generation, the rate of ridda is very high. Although the rate of ridda is highest with converts in their first month, among second generation Muslims it is also getting higher.

The difference between NA and the UK is vast, since NA is more isolated, most of the second generation lose their language/culture (subsequently religion,) and the political/social environment is very oppressive and stifling for Muslims.

It sounds like a Pew based figure, It wouldn't surprise me, I can't judge them wholly, but on the topics, I am familiar with their conclusions have been pretty wild.

But, its an interesting insight, and you made good points that I was not aware of or had considered before. I actually had to search the meaning ridda, I am not certain if I belong in that category or not, as I am not an observant Muslim, but being a Muslim is very much a part of who I am. I have some conclusions or views that I think we as Muslims need to entertain. Especially living in the western countries and due to the requirements of the modern age.

I believe the points I am about to present are not as radical as they may seem because they have existed in some form through Islamic history. I think we need to recognise the concept of "culturally Muslim",
someone who isn't observantly Islamic but recognizes themselves as Muslim, as a mark of identity or because their heritage is Islamic/Muslim or the basis of their morals is Islamic in nature etc.... basically allow space for such people to exist within the Islamic framework if they choose to identify as Muslims without being observant Muslims.
From what I have seen there isn't much space for such people and it is easier for them to just switch off. which breeds negativity.

I am not certain if I've successfully transferred my ideas, and not sure if it is a radical viewpoint or not, any thought-provoking feedback will be happily received.

You will be rattled and will be able to do very little about it bjp or no bjp modi or no modi it makes and will make very little difference you have put your hands in the mouth of the dragon.
India never wanted to fight with the dragon.
Even the "terrorist Modi" has extended a strong hand of friendship. Publicly & with grandeur.
But now, India has also made it clear that its peaceful gestures should not be mistaken for weakness. They killed 20 of ours and we killed "an undeclared figure". Everyone hides the truth when its harmful. Otherwise, everyone declares truth with pomp & glory. That's enough indication for both of us as well as the world. All other things are happening in parallel. Spectators should just watch and cheer their sides. But they should not like a colony or a stooge. Thats embarrassing.

There's nothing peaceful about religious fanatics and fascists.

Trump or Biden there will be no change in US India policy. The only thing with Trump is that he may sometimes take specific actions based on his personal likes and dislikes so he can be a wild card at times but the institutional policies will not change.

.
Biden is India's new and best hope for the future just like the Rafale after the February 27 Butt kicking by the PAF. Before that Trump was their best hope for India like MKI the Raptor of Asia. The next president after that will definitely be the best for India again. And then the next........

The truth is US policy towards India or Pakistan will not be that drastically changed no matter who wins the election. The best thing to do as a country or person is do your own part and made your own country strong and self reliant as much as possible instead of hoping for the next friendly president for your country. Because the other country's president will do what's best for their own country.

The happiest I have seen Indians were on the day when Trump won. Before that, I thought no one would be able to break the record of Obama.

Kamala is out of question. Trump has divided the society on ethnic lines just like what Modi has done in his country. H1B issue aside, Trump-Modi's couple... Its a match made in hell... but at the same time, Pakistan, after going through the worst, doesn't care much now about the US presidential candidates. Pakistan's closest ally in the region is a fast emerging superpower. I am very happy that Indian policy makers aren't realizing that a super power ally bordering you is 100 times better than a super power ally 1000s of miles away. India should solve its border problems with China or it should be ready to lose much more.

Good post.
But Kamala is still not the front runner--it's the white face of Biden which is the front runner. For sure if a person of color were to be presented as POTUS candidate then the divide in America would not allow a repeat of the Obama victory. Biden is a strong contender--if nothing else but because of a familiar face and of a 'Anything But Trump' as the President mindset.

Nobody knows who is going to win the elections! The forecasters were stunned in November 2016 when Trump won. But many countries of the world are waiting anxiously to see who wins the elections. I'd say Pakistan is not as directly impacted as the Middle Eastern countries or China/India are, which is a good thing for Pakistan. Trump is the Devil Pakistan has known since 2016. And Biden was the Devil Pakistan had known as the VP under Obama.

But you are absolutely correct that India would have been better off being on friendly terms with a powerful neighbor like China than an arguably unreliable distant superpower. The 'muscular foreign policy' is Modi's big global gamble. If he succeeds then India gains a lot at the expense especially of Pakistan.

LOL this old grandpa child molestor Joe Biden doesn't know what he is in for. His papa Trump couldn't touch Pakistan and China. According to Indians China and Pak were doomed under Trump LOL Grandpa Joe thinks he is tough. Let this grandpa make a move.

Lol...so what?...for India..it's win-win on both sides....no matter who wins between Trump and Him

Or maybe a lose-lose situation.. my comment was in particular to the the h1b policy he plans.. nothing specific to india.

I might have an inherent bias - but I expect Trump to win again. The media in America is left leaning but the electorate is centre right.

I don't think they'll vote Biden in large enough numbers. The Democrats will be split and might not come out in numbers, partly because they think its already in the bag and also because some people just want Bernie.

The republicans are generally stupider and will buy the fox news BS and turn out in numbers behind trump.
