KARACHI: A seasoned Indian journalist and author claimed on Monday that his country’s steel tycoon Sajjan Jindal visited Pakistan on the invitation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and was not sent by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

An unannounced meeting between Mr Sharif and Mr Jandal at the hill resort town of Murree last month triggered intense speculation in the country, with several politicians and analysts suggesting it could be the precursor to a possible meeting between the Pakistani and Indian premiers in the near future.

Mr Jindal, who is known for being close to Mr Modi, also has a friendly relationship with the Sharif family. His visit was seen as part of some backchannel contact to improve relations between the two countries by some analysts and experts on Pak-India relations.

Though not much has been shared by any of the two governments on Mr Jindal’s visit, the nature of his engagements and points of discussion with PM Sharif during the meeting, Indian journalist Prem Shankar Jha said in a private TV show that the Indian businessman was actually invited by the Pakistani premier.

“Mr Jindal visited Pakistan on Nawaz Sharif’s invitation as he wasn’t sent by PM Modi’s advice,” he said at a Geo News show.

He strongly criticised the Indian government’s policy on Kashmir and said dialogue was the only way out to resolve the decades-old conflict.

“The Modi government is fast losing out all options. The situation [in Kashmir] is so grim that I don’t see any option of dialogue is left. I think that India doesn’t want to move towards dialogue.”

This is all bullcrap. Where are answers to simple questions like;
  • Why was he given "no police check visa"?
  • Why didn't they meet at PM Secretariat?
  • Why was his meeting made secret?
  • Why does no one in the government knew about his arrival?
  • Why did the meeting take place in the lawn away from all security staff?
  • Why are there contradictory statements about this visit to date?
Nawaz is silent on Kulbhushan to-date. He has not condemned India for sending RAW terrorist and backing them, even though Pakistan's court has sentenced him to death for the same charges? Likewise, Nawaz Government to-date has not built a case against India for their support of TTP, MQM and Baluch terrorists.

With Nawaz is silent and there are Indians coming to meet PM in such a way, the Nation is right to question Nawaz's sincerity towards the security of Pakistan. Mr. KAZEB O KHAYEN is also questioned for his patriotism.

Nawaz Sharif is security threat for Pakistan. He needs to be eliminated.

Maybe both NS and Gen Bajwa will personally want to see him off!! In wasee tar qoumi mafaad

Let's see - as Pak signed "no contest" agreement with ICJ suspiciously on Mar 29, 17 coincidently after N$ met his business buddy in Feb during a brief stopover in Dubai.

So if ICJ gives the decision in India's favour - it will be a done deal.

And if this happens, sincere advice to Maryam; tweet re family friendship of your papa and Kulbhushan as well and clear any doubts in the mind of public re the unwarranted attention and rhetoric that Sharif's innocent family had to face due to such trivial issues in wasee tar mafaad of our qoum as referenced above by @Farah Sohail

nawaz kashmiri Pakistan say kon say janam ka badla lay raha hay khuda janay

He is a businessman who has disinvested his major investments in Pakistan and has almost all business interests outside Pakistan.

Most of his kids (3 out of 4) are already living outside - their next generations would most probably be outside Pakistan too. Maryam can easily move to Doha in Qatar any day ;)

So what interest would he have in Pakistan now?

Except that, here in Pakistan he is above the law, once and if ever he feels he is under the law - he will move out - till that time "intezaar farmayie"
