That's the JH-7A.

JH-7B - upgraded variant of JH-7A

The newer JH-7 (JH-7B) airframe is lighter & stronger than that of the original JH-7 variant, giving the JH-7B model a maximum armament load of 9000 kg,compared to the Sukhoi Su-24 & Su-30 at 8000 kg and the General Dynamics F-111 at 11,000 kg.

As it is lighter and less complex than the variable geometry wing Su-24 & Su-30 the JH-7B is considerably cheaper to produce and operate.

Although it does not have the air-to-air performance of the Su-30, its range is greater. The JH-7B represents a significant strike capability for the PLANAF and its load capacity allows the aircraft to carry 2 domestically-made YJ-82 anti-ship missiles in maritime strike operations.

It can also be armed with infra-red homing air-to-air missiles such as the PL-5. Internal armament comprises a single 23mm twin-barrel GSh-23L autocannon.

Even though the air-to-air capability of it is weak, in strike missions it can be escorted by J-11s, J-10s and future J-20s.

It has a higher load capacity than the Su30??

Did you even read before posting??

That's the JH-7A. The JH-7B is a stealthy version of the JH-7A, with redesigned body, AESA radar, TVC engine, and internal weapons bay. It is in flight testing.

Sinodoldier is right, the first version is called JH-7, and the improved verson is JH-7A. China used a different mark number than USA where the first version is always called F-??A, example, F-16A, there is no letter "A" in first version in JH-7.

Therefore the next version to be disclosed shall be JH-7B. But if there is huge difference in design, especially stealth features, I doubt it will be called JH-7B, may be one of the J-XX projects.

Why not put threads like this in the sticky arm force threads you created, Sri Lankan?
