Jf-17 To Be Exported, recover its investment through third countries sale

CHENGDU (April 20 2007): Pakistan announced on Thursday that it would start export of JF-17 thunder aircraft jointly with China after its planned production in 2008. "Pakistan would recover its investment through third countries sale as joint sale and marketing with China," says an official statement issued by the Pakistani officials here after the visit of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.

The prime minister inspected new manufactured aircraft and visited manufacturing facilities and appreciated China for making unprecedented progress in defence production.

The statement also said that 16 aircraft planned, eight to be inducted by each side. Two aircraft arrived in Pakistan in March and participated in National Day Parade and two planned to arrive in Pakistan in July and four in December 2007 as training of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Kamra, manpower is in progress in China.

Infrastructure at PAC along with various other facilities is planned to be completed by end of 2007. Pakistan would be able to build up its own aviation industry a big step forward in the field of indigenisation and self-reliance. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz also inaugurated a new Consulate General building here, the third in China after Shanghai and Hong Kong, saying it will bolster co-operation between the two countries in all fields.

The complex in Sichuan province will cover the fast emerging parts of Western China and neighbouring provinces. Chengdu is home to the Joint Sino-Pak venture of JF-17, multi-role aircraft manufacturing plant and several other high-tech industries.

The prime minister, who is on a six-day visit to China, termed the opening of the Consulate General as another major milestone in the development of Pak-China relations.

He said Pakistan and China were determined to reinforce their exemplary friendship by building strong partnership in economic and trade fields, adding Pakistan was proud of its friendship with China. Shaukat Aziz said China is Pakistan's most trusted friend, good neighbour and good partner and expressed determination to further strengthen this friendship and take this partnership to new heights.

He said Sichuan and Punjab were "sister provinces" as the Chinese province lies in a region that extends up to Pakistan. He described the province as fast becoming another showcase of development of China's western region.

Foreign Affairs Assistant Minister Cui Tiankai termed it a memorable day in Pak-China multi-dimensional relations, saying a consulate will serve as a bridge to link the two communities.

While addressing the dinner hosted by the Sichuan governor, he said that after the implementation of FTA would reach $15 billion. He said the products to be manufactured in special economic zone would not sold locally but also exported to various countries, including Middle East.

I doubt we'd be able to sell it in significant numbers. People who need planes usually have money to buy the more pricey ones. The people who have lesser money don't have as much of a need of war time planes. At best I see Pakistan selling/giving these planes to Bangladesh since they are the only other army in the world who have their armed forces India-centric.

Sri Lanka seems to be in our lobby's pocket these days. It'll be nice to get a few sales done right away.

Sri Lanka is seeing too much warfare for any major deal. They'll most likely be spending all their budget on munitions, training and basic rations.

I'd guess Bangaldesh, African nations and prolly North Korea.

.
What about Libya, Syria and Egypt....... ....may be few more other arab countries.

.
What about Zimbabwe, who placed the order early in 2004? :P

WTF why will we export JF-17 to north Korea
i dont know why the admins dont ban people like him who disrespect pakistan in nearly every post:disagree:

.
sorry, but i didnt get it...

how is mentioning North Korea an insult to Pakistan? :S
*genuinely confused*

.
Dont worry, most of the times you are unable to get it, its not first time.............lol.

Somewhere you have mentioned that "dont know Pakistan got 2 JF 17 or no", so, it would make you clear that pakistan would start production of JF 17 in 2008 and annually produce around 18-20 jets locally, but this can be increased.

Leave it, if difficult to digest, depends of stomach, if whole the life someone eats vegi, would be difficult to take meat..................lol

.
If you ever took the time to read any one's posts without making sarcastic comments you would have realised, that i mean at the moment, PAF has maybe 2 jets, or not even that.

"This can be increased".

Huh? Is this your bedroom oven, that you can increase or decrease the heat?

The production line would run at maximum production capacity to get the planes it was contracted for built as fast as possible. Should there be more orders, they would be filled AFTER the first order has finished, the line which was built for 20 jets a year cant start making 30, and if it can, then it would be making 30 jets directly from the start.

The same reason Pak bought missiles FROM North Korea.

Think before you type..........

If the orders are recieved. Through that money, infrastructure will be made to meet the export requirements. Therefore, increasing the capability of the number of aircrafts to be produced per year for Pakistan and aboard. There are a lot of benefits with it.

IF, webby, there is a BIG IF in that statement.

Another option is that China simply provides funds to "outsource" production to Pakistan.
As for sales...All the countries that currently operate F-7's or similar Russian (mig21/23 etc etc)equipment. Will jump at the chance to pick up a cheap replacement rather than the more expensive options out there.

.
Now you should be able to differentiate between unlike IFs and like IFs.

Any who.. i am not in a mood of discussing anything right now, so i take my comment back.

Sri Lanka bought a batch of Al-Khalid's not long ago they also bought some Pakistani sold F-7pg so they are potential customers. Iraq is another country that may by Pakistani tech they already bought Pakistani Armour such as AK's, APC's and munition and other ordinance. I say there is a big market for JF-17 its cheap and competes with big names it can be tweeked and upgraded etc.

.
Last time Pakistan had venture with China in Aero field K-8 the trainer aircraft was sold to lots of counteries around the world it was a success so this can be another big one I believe.
