What will replace Mirages? They needed to be replaced next.

AZM is a sperate project compared to TF-X.

PAF is potentially looking at 2 5th generation fighters to replace F-16s and JF-17s in the next 30 years.

JF 17s. They have A-A, A-G capability including guided weapons, anti-ship weapons and can carry Ra'ad (as per recent suggestions). Some Mirages may continue to be used.

If PAC can increase dimensions of the aircraft and make it a true medium weight multi role to actually take on F16(maybe even F16V/Blk 70) would be very nice and venture into an EW variant. I think at that point JF17 would have matured completely and that would be the right time to transition to AZM for heavy weight air superiority and start thinking about a medium weight stealth aircraft to replace JF17 and to support AZM.

With S400 and other anti air systems it's best that we give 5th gen SEAD responsibility.

I am calling it, lets start. What is missing from Block III that we need in Block IV given how little we know about Block III right now.

A two liner for Block-IV Thunder?

No thread until & unless an official or some credible source reports as such. The contest to claim credibility & posting threads for the sake of it, wouldn't be appreciated. Block-III isn't operational yet nor we know such details publicly but we have to jump on the speculation journey for Block-IV? Please.
