Korean, Chinese merchants worried territorial spats bad for business - AJW by The Asahi Shimbun

The protesters shouted that “Takeshima belongs to Japan!” and “The Koreans must apologize to to the emperor!”

They then targeted Korean shop clerks for verbal abuse, yelling “Koreans go home!” “Disappear from the planet!” To Japanese shoppers, they screamed, “You are the shame of this country!"and “Let’s burn down the peninsula!”

The manager of “The Shiny” Korean cosmetics store chain in Shin-Okubo agrees with Lee that the escalating political tensions between Japan and its neighbors can only harm the Japanese.

During the Aug. 25 anti-Korea rally, demonstrators approached her and pressured her to respond to, “Takeshima belongs to who?”
Not surprising since the Mayor of Tokyo Ishihara's official position is that Korean comfort women enjoyed their job of servicing Japanese soldiers.

I don't think Koreans hate Chinese at all even though there are bad moments. Their feelings toward the Japanese are deep though.

Koreans dislike for Chinese is a recent phenomenon that appeared in the last 10 years. Their hatred for Japanese lasted centuries. No comparison here.

Japan violates South Korean airspace with its air force near disputed island! Looks like Japan is going back to South Korea for fun times like they have many times throughout history.

The way things are going, I really worry about east Asia. It looks like a three-way-free-for-all war coming up.

But in the midst of the Commie-Japanese war of words, where did Koreans crop up?

Japanese rightwingers feel far more threatened by Korea than by China, so they direct their angers at Korea, not China.

China is a far away land, and the PLA is considered a joke army easily crushed by the might Imperial Japanese Navy(Oopse, I mean JMSDF).

Korea is different. Not only is Korean drama and music flooding the Japanese airwaves, Japanese corporations are downsizing and laying off thousands of Japanese workers because they are getting killed by Korean corporations overseas. This makes Japanese rightwinger threatened. They see the Korean invasion taking place, and there is nothing they can do but to protest.

joke enough Army to crush Korea and Japan simuntaniously, with out using too much effort. With out the Americans your just a sitting duck. But I guess the Chinese don't have to get there hands dirty since they can use the north to destroy seoul.

Is Korea the coming Super Power that the world still has not noticed it?
Will China and Japan send concubines to please the mighty Korean leaders in the future?

if u had said japan is more afraid of NK then china then i might agree, nk is nowhere as powerful as china but nk is unpredictable and lives off of provocation while the chinese might be secretive, the leadership is however perfectly sensible.

and the SK arm forces? lol NK sunk your warship, shelled your civilians then laughed in your face afterwards and your government did not dare to retaliate, if that had happened to any other country with self respect the war would have been over by now.
