Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung yesterday approved the investment project to set up Medicine University Tokyo Vietnam.
The medicine university Tokyo Vietnam invested by Japanese Medicine Institute Waseda and Japanese investors will operate as non-profit organization. The university locates in the northern province of Hung Yen.
It will provide rehabilitation nurses, physiotherapy and orthopedics for patients with prosthesis legs and limbs to students enrolling in four year programs. For those students who enrolling in three year program, they will be provided training of nursing and medical testing.
In addition to training, the school also carries out scientific researches applying medical technologies and supply education support services.
Under a pledge, the school will come into operation after it has been granted investment license within two years. It is estimated the charter capital would be over VND86 billion (US$ 4,050,871) and total investment of VND421 billion (US$19,830,428).
The school is going to be built on the area of 30 hectares. After four years of operation, the school is expected to attract around 1,200 students.
