Japan seeks stronger ties with Vietnam

Yes, by conflating the same two things he did, explicitely repeating the same conflated numbers he did and throwing a link with the same unrelated conflated numbers right after you denied anything you replied to would contradict his simply false "interesting facts".

Lets not get silly and pretend you didn't, just because you didn't say "I fully agree with him and everything he said is correct" verbatim. That barely comprehensible Viet troll could get away with that excuse. Your English is not that horrible.

You're quite self-assuming, aren't you? You're making the mistake of judging other people's reaction based on your reaction if you had. Just because I 'explicitly' repeat a part of his statement doesn't mean I 'implicitly' agree with another part of his statement which I have ignored. That's your own assumption of my intent and here you are starting an argument based on semantics.

So how many Vietnamese nationality are working in the PRC?

.
You also need some literacy and reading comprehension to understand the numbers you are talking about.

He said "migration to China over the course of 500 years". You posted numbers of foreign residents at a specific point in time somewhere in the past decade.

You do understand the difference? The utterly false chronological aspect aside you can't conflate "migrants" with "foreign residents". These groups may fully overlap or not at all. It depends entirely on the definition of the particular source used, the particular countries laws and the particular countries historic background.

Your number for China doesn't cover even a fraction of the million of indigenized ethnic Vietnamese with Chinese citizenship that have migrated to China in the past half millenia and he was obviously talking about this type of migration. In reverse Japan doesn't have such a historic background and the majority of its unwelcomed Vietnamese migrants are technical "refugees" with permanent residency permits which fall under the definition of "foreign residents" of the document cited in the case of Japan.
It’s extremely difficult to impossible to get Chinese citizenship. Unless you are a national hero.

Less than 30,000 Vietnamese as Jing became Chinese. Saying mass migrations from Vietnam becoming Chinese is wrong.

300,000 residing in Japan, not immigrants, you maybe have more than that number of Vietnamese coming to China every single day.

Guangxi province alone has over 100,000 Vietnamese working there.
Certainly there are lots of Vietnamese workers in China but they are not Chinese and can be deported at any time. Even majority of Vietnamese women marrying Chinese are unable to get China citizenship. China has a very racist ideology. Unless you have Chinese father or mother it’s impossible to become Chinese. Vietnamese women return to Vietnam after divorce. It’s hundred times easier for Vietnamese to get German and Japan citizenship than Chinese.

.
How do they get on in Japan? The Japanese love tourists and visitors but are not fond of settlers.

Waz, a slight correction needs to be made about settlers. It is not a case of just simply not fond of as in by a factor of 100%. It is not even a case of limited toleration. A limited number are welcomed. Assimilation to the culture and language acquisition are major factors though. Even among circle of Japanese right wing top tier talking head regulars (although top first from the left says he's neither right nor left but center), there are some who are not Japanese.

If international people share the same general interests, they are onboard. No reason why a Vietnamese that achieves proficiency in the Japanese language that shares the same general opinion and positions on a number of topics such as politics, history, military, etc., couldn't be part of it, or at the very least, featured as a guest or such, not only on this channel, but on various other channels.

On the left side of the political spectrum, there's a foreign European-born politican in Japanese opposition political party. whose name is Marutei Tsurunen.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marutei_Tsurunen

And then not in the political arena, a foreign writer of the Japanese language who has achieved several Japanese writer awards.

So sure, Japan in general is shy about letting foreigners, but it is not an absolute shutting of the door. Worthy ones are welcomed and add to general quality by adding a little diversity without damaging Japanese cultural norms and identity.

.
Interesting stat: the number of Vietnamese people migrating to Japan has gone from zero to 300,000 within few years. In contrast, Vietnamese migration to China over the course of 500 years is multiple times lower, in total about 40,000.

Not all migrants but mostly "trainees', a type of modern day Japanese slavery program.

A letter of consent that technical trainees are required to sign at a training facility includes the clause, “Do not have any romantic relationship with the opposite sex.

Torn between having an abortion to keep working to pay off her family's massive debt or give up her internship in Japan, a 22-year-old technical trainee from Vietnam decided to flee her workplace.

“Have an abortion, or I will send you back to Vietnam. It’s your choice,” a supervisor at the training facility said, giving her an ultimatum and even offering her an abortion drug if she needed one.

A Vietnamese man working in Japan under the foreign trainee program was forced to return home after asking to take time off to get married.

He was sleeping when the four staff(not police or immigration officer, but the hiring company basically kidnapped and force him to leave Japan) members arrived around 5 a.m. and told him that he made “too many requests,” he said in an interview from Vinh, central Vietnam. They drove him to the local ward office to file paperwork, then put him on a plane back to Vietnam.

Vietnamese trainee made to do decontamination work in Fukushima

A Vietnamese man who came to Japan under a foreign trainee program was made to engage in radioactive decontamination work in Fukushima Prefecture without his knowledge, a foreign workers support group heard Wednesday.

Without any explanation about decontamination, he was told to remove the surface soil from roads and nearby residences in Koriyama, Fukushima Prefecture, between October 2015 and March 2016.

He also received only 2,000 yen ($19) a day for decontamination work, less than a third of the 6,600 yen set as the standard by the Environment Ministry, in addition to his monthly salary of about 150,000 yen as a foreign trainee.

Yes, these poor souls are being taken advantage of and Japan is using them like modern day slave. Lets hope Vietnam, and other poorer countries, develope better and faster so their citizens won't be used by rich countries like this.

Not a problem. When I was young, I went thru every job imaginable including flipping burger at McDonalds.Vietnam is still a relative poor country with people having nothing to lose. Japan is a battlefield for young Vietnamese. It’s not like let’s say rich China with young people not wanting to make hands dirty.

So a number of cases that can be counted on one's hand that is among 100s of thousands. And I'm sure there are more bad cases since there is a black market for cheap labour in Japan. But it makes it very small portion out of the total.

But of your cases, the first one, she really shouldn't have gotten pregnant and the conditions of the program she was in must have surely made it clear that getting pregnant is not OK. So the young lady has a tough decision that she should have avoided walking into.

The second one, probably can't be helped, he has his working terms to do, so can't just keep asking for paid holidays. If he's going to not work, he can stay in Vietnam and let a someone that wants to work to come and take his place.

The third one is deplorable and I feel sorry for him and hope he gets appropriate compensation and I hope that labour union organizations strengthen to prevent that kind of abuse.

I found this video to be interesting about Vietnamese talking about their experience working in Japan. Some difficulties but overall, they same satisfied and they seem level headed that their experience would be better if they develop their Japanese language abilities. But in the end of the day, work is work, and the Japanese themselves work a lot too. So work a lot together. In the end, the whole system works because the Vietnamese workers still can make an amount of money that is worthwhile while working abroad provides insight and inspiration that can help them perform better in the future.

No matter how Japan is trying to assimilate these immigrants, we all know that majority of Japanese have their genes and their blood from Chinese ancestors especially those elites ruling class, give them the opportunity to quest for their origin and restore their ancestor family name, you will be surprise that 99% of Japanese will have either Chinese, Korean or Vietnam last name which totally Chinese.

And we will thank Japan to reeducate these 300000 Vietnamese to learn Kanji back ,@Viet, try to learn back your ancestor writing...LMAO.

The responsibilities of a nation last BEYOND those of an individual.
CRIMES of a Nation does NOT go away with the passing of the nation's leader or the generation that committed those crimes.
A nation's guilt and debt is to be honored by its successor representation and it goes beyond an individual's lifetime.
UNTIL Japan apologize SINCERELY and victim nations accept their apologies, NOTHING CHANGES, NOTHING MOVES ON.

To DISAVOW responsibility for JAPAN crimes against humanity is EASY.
FORFIET their INHERITANCE.
This is similar to an individual who inherits from their parents have to honor their debt as well.

Do NOT inherit the country that is Japan and one don't have to carry the burden of Japan's crimes anymore.
ONLY those who inherit the nation, its land, its riches and its benefits need be responsible for the previous generation crimes.

That is, those Japanese who are no longer citizens and do NOT benefit from it do NOT have to bear the guilt of the previous generations.

To give a clearer though unrealistic example, let Korea or China inherit Japan, all criminal debt will be cleared.
Why is a SINCERE APOLOGY SO DIFFICULT.?

Judging by current Japan's ENORMOUS SEX INDUSTRY, Japanese HUMONGOUS ADDICTION for SEX have not abated since WWII.

Interesting interesting with some insight. Working conditions are harsh. Language is very challenging. Most young Vietnamese after their graduation are not keen on making money as primary goal but wanting to go abroad to learn something new, learning technology from Japan. A question was raised what they dislike from Japan. Vietnamese people usually are very straightforward. If they dislike someone they say direct one’s person face. If you are a shit, they tell: you are shit. Japanese don’t do that. Instead, Japanese look silently thru someone as if you are invisible, making the people feeling very uncomfortable.

From the interview,It can be said, Japan is not a dream land though, young Vietnamese go there for some practical reasons.

Yeah, that's Japanese culture. Vietnamese people aren't the only group of people that find it uncomfortable when Japanese don't directly say the problem. So after working for some years, most foreigns are often ready to go back home. They usually still like Japan but happy to go home. And that's really good. Vietnam and other foreign countries wouldn't have to worry about a brain drain or their experienced workers not returning to the home country and Japan won't have to worry about so many people demanding to stay. Just keep cycling young workers in and out on 3-5 year work terms. A few will stay for 7-10. And even fewer will stay permanantly.

Ok putting aside that Japan “specialty” :D and other things, most Vietnamese including myself consider Japan as a country of modernity and progress. One more thing, most probably don’t know. last century in the darkest days, when Vietnam was occupied by colonial France, resistance leader Ho Chi Minh sent a group of Vietnamese students to Japan in total secrecy. He wanted to find out how Japan, a nation in Asia, was capable to defeat a western military power - Russia.
