They are called liberal fascists for a reason.

The so called 'liberal' and 'feminist' movement in Pakistan is nothing like what we see in the West.

Western liberalism would have welcomed someone like Imran Khan, just as they welcomed Bernie Sanders, a leader who cared deeply for the downtrodden and middle class and believed that the State had a responsibility to make sure that it took care of the poor, disabled and marginalized.

A leader who wanted to provide universal healthcare, free/cheap education and ensure no one went hungry and had a place to sleep at night.

A leader who, despite having strong religious beliefs, believed deeply in treating every Pakistani citizen equally regardless of their faith, and ensuring everyone got justice and opportunity to succeed.

Instead, Pakistani liberals derided and ridiculed Imran Khan's social welfare programs and distorted and misrepresented his desire to avoid violent conflict to address the problems in FATA and Afghanistan as some kind of desire for Taliban rule in Pakistan.
