TEHRAN (FNA)- Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili underlined the role of resistance in preventing the enemy's divisive plots.
"Resistance for the liberation of Palestinian lands is the best axis for unity of Islamic Ummah and could be used as a preventive strategy in deterring enemy divisive plots," Jalili said, in a meeting with Hamas politburo deputy chief Mousa Abu Marzouq, here in Tehran on Sunday.
Abu Marzouq, for his part, pointed to the great capacities of the resistance, and said, "Islamic Resistance Movement can achieve greater successes by pursuing the motto of Palestine is our land and nation from the (Mediterranean) sea to the (Jordan) river."
Last month, Supreme Leader's Advisor for International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati reiterated Tehran's support for anti-Zionist resistance movements in the region, particularly the Syrian government as a main part of the anti-Israel axis.
The issue was raised in a meeting between Velayati and Syrian Ambassador to Iran Adna Mahmoud in Tehran.
The attack against Syria is the attack against anti-Israel resistance structure in the region, which Syria is one of the most important rings of it.
Velayati emphasized again Iran's support for Syria in all fields and Iran's intention for continuation of support for resistance front.
He underlined that terrorist groups which are responsible for this blast are serving Israeli interest.
Early in February 2012, Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei categorically denied Iran's interference in Bahrain, but meantime stressed Iran's direct involvement in the Palestinian and Lebanese confrontation against Israel, including the Lebanese Summer 2006 33-day resistance against the Zionist regime.
"Wherever Iran interferes, it announces it in a very straightforward manner. For instance, we interfered in confrontations against Israel, which resulted in the (Lebanese) victory in the 33-day war and (Palestinians' victory in) the 22-day (Gaza) war," Ayatollah Khamenei said, addressing millions of Friday Prayers worshippers on Tehran University Campus at the time.
"In future too, we will support and help everyone who opposes the Zionist regime," the Leader underscored.
"The Zionist regime is a real cancerous tumor that should be cut and will be cut, God Willing," Ayatollah Khamenei underscored.
