Pakistan on Thursday issued a new video of death row convict Kulbhushan Jadhav saying the Indian High Commission diplomat yelled at his mother and he had seen fear in the eyes of his wife and mother.

The video begins with Jadhav thanking the Indian and Pakistani governments for arranging a meeting with his mother and wife. “My mother was very happy to see me. But I have to tell the Indian public and government and Indian media that I am still a commissioned officer of Indian Navy. I saw fear in the eyes of my mother and wife. After the meeting, the Indian diplomat shouted at my mother as if she was alien,” Jadhav said in his video.

“I want to tell Indian public, Indian government and Indian media that I am a commissioned officer in the Indian Navy. Why are you lying about my working for an intelligence agency?” he asked.

Jadhav was arrested in March 2016 from restive Balochistan province near the Iranian border. He was tried in a military court and sentenced to death for spying and terrorism. His appeal against his sentence before Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa is still pending.

India approached the International Court of Justice, which stayed the execution in May last year.

On December 25, mother and wife of Jhadav met him in Islamabad. Pakistan termed it a humanitarian gesture and not a consular access.

India claimed that Pakistani authorities mistreated Jadhav’s family by taking off their shoes and jewellery, including the mangal sutra. Pakistan termed it as security measures and also claimed that there was something suspicious in the shoes of Jadhav’s wife, which is being examined.

Following the controversy, India refused visas to 192 Pakistani pilgrims to the shrine of Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Aulia in Delhi from January 1-8.

This protest doesn't make any sense but anyhow this is indian response to this .........

Well shameless indeed. And seriously I was wondering what went wrong with US ..... now I understand and it makes a lot of sense.

Why not just give him consular access instead of releasing videos?

Jadhav fears family was 'beaten all along in the plane' from India

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Foreign Office on Thursday released a video statement of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav in which he speaks about meeting his mother and wife.

In a goodwill gesture, Pakistan had allowed the convicted spy to meet his mother and wife at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 25 December.

The video begins with Jadhav sharing a message for the Indian public and government. “I have to say one thing very important here, for the Indian public, Indian government and the Indian navy, that my commission is not gone. I am a commissioned officer in the Indian navy,” he re-asserts.

About the meeting, Jadhav stresses that he saw fear in the eyes of his mother and wife and it seemed they had been brought there under threat. He also points out seeing an Indian diplomat yelling at his mother following the meeting.

“I saw fear in the eyes of my mother and my wife. Why should there be fear? Whatever has happened has happened. There shouldn’t be fear in the eyes of my mother and my wife. They’ve been threatened. The Indian diplomat or the Indian person who had come along with my mother was shouting on [sic] my mother the moment she stepped out [of the meeting room]… he was yelling at her. Has she been brought under threat here, to meet me? This gesture was a positive gesture so that she feels happy, I feel happy… and then the Indian diplomat or some person standing outside yelling at her?”

Admitting that he had been working for Indian spy agency RAW, Jadhav said that his mother and wife had been really battered, troubled and brought to the meeting. “I have thought they have been beaten all along in the plane.”

He added that the treatment of his family was not a pleasant thing. “My mother went under shock. She is saying no this can’t be said and what is this. I am really thankful of the whole process of both the governments - the Indian government and the Pakistani government. I am really feeling sad that my mother was in a bad threatened position.”

The meeting between Jadhav and his mother and wife, held on December 25 as a humanitarian gesture, lasted almost 40 minutes, the Pakistan Foreign Office said. Indian diplomats, including Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh, accompanied Jadhav's family and were present during the meeting, which was conducted in a specially prepared room via an intercom through a glass partition.

India, however, claimed later that Pakistan did not adhere to the conditions of the meeting between Jadhav and his family.

Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj alleged that the meeting was used by Pakistan for propaganda and that his family was harassed.

Kulbhushan Jadhav: Pakistan issues new 'India spy' video

Pakistan has released a new video of a former Indian navy officer facing a death sentence for spying, amid controversy over a visit by his family.

In the video, Kulbhushan Jadhav says his mother and wife, who met him in December, were "shouted at" by the Indian diplomat accompanying them.

Earlier, India had claimed the two were "humiliated" by Pakistan and raised concerns over Mr Jadhav's health.

Pakistan says Mr Jadhav was arrested in 2016, but Delhi says he was kidnapped.

The nuclear-armed neighbours have a long history of diplomatic spats and Delhi and Islamabad often accuse each other of sending spies into their territories.

Islamabad has produced videos of Mr Jadhav in the past that it says are confessions of his spying - although India has claimed the confessions were extracted under duress.

In the latest video, Mr Jadhav reiterates the charge, saying he is a "commissioned officer in the Indian navy", and his commission is "not yet over".

He said he could see "fear" in his mother's and wife's eyes when they visited him in Islamabad.

He said his mother was "relaxed" after the visit, but accused the Indian official accompanying them of being rude.

"This gesture was a positive one so that she feels happy, I feel happy - and then there's this person standing outside and yelling at her?" he says in the video.

India's Ministry of External Affairs dismissed the video as a "propagandistic" exercise, adding: "Pakistan in simply continuing its practice of putting out coerced statements on video."

The video, which was released by Pakistan's foreign office, comes days after India's foreign minister told parliament that Mr Jadhav's family had been intimidated by Pakistani officials during the visit.

She accused the country of violating the terms of the agreement of the visit and said the entire exercise lacked credibility.

The meeting had lasted around 40 minutes and took place at the Pakistani foreign ministry in the capital.

Mr Jadhav's mother, Avanti, and his wife, Chetankul were made to remove all their jewellery and even change clothes as part of security measures. A pair of shoes his wife was wearing was not returned to her, after Islamabad officials said they found a metallic device inside them that "could be" a recording device.

Image caption There have been protests In India against Pakistan's decision to execute Mr Kulbushan Jadhav
  • The 46-year-old was a resident of Mumbai
  • He is the son of retired Mumbai police officer Sudhir Jadhav
  • A former officer, he was in the navy for more than a dozen years
  • His family says he quit the navy to start his own business and was working at Iran's Chabahar port
  • He was given a death sentence by a military court in April 2017
  • He is married and has children
The two countries are fighting a legal case over Mr Jadhav at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague.

In May, the ICJ ordered Pakistan not to execute him until it had time to hear the case brought by India.

There have been differing accounts of how and where he was detained.

Pakistan says he was arrested on 3 March 2016 in its restive Balochistan province. The area has been hit by a separatist insurgency, which the Pakistani government accuses India of backing. India says he was kidnapped by Pakistan while he was in Iran.

I think he is genuinely concerned for his family. I think he got to know about the torture his wife and went through in the airplane to work for their agencies.

He knows that only entity which is more likely to harm him and his family is RAW. Indian establishment is desperate to shut him up permanently.

You are an Indian! Without looking at your flag, I could tell this from the ridiculousness of your post. The shameless trolls who speaks not because they have an intelligent point to make but because they have a tongue their mouth.

But go on, we know Indians are helpless and can only do what you are doing. On the quality of your responses, let the world clap in your honour.

Bad PR stunt india for India.
This guy seemed relaxed, and was talking as normal chat even with his gestures which seemed to me that hes happy with his new company

Pakistan should use this card properly and should give him more chances to talk

And the more he talk more indians will go against him and his family and than Pakistan can also use that point
