What's new

J11b Pakistan future Navy jet fighter

if needed in emergency J-11Bs or any Chinese air craft can be leased or purchased on soft loans.

The example of this is emergency supply of equipment after May 2, 2011 events and Chinese pledge to provide all necessary resources to defend Pakistan.
bro. what was that equipment ? since im unaware of that ...

"Since last 15 years Indians have been threatening Pakistan on internet from MMRCA."

I am not sure when MMRCA will be inducted but as for as Pakistan is concerned, Jf-17 block2 already in production. Jf-17 block2 will have improved frame (possibly more composite material though NOT confirmed), IFR, better avionic and radar, (IRST in block3).
6 Jf-17 block 2 will be completed between May - June 2014 (unconfirmed report)
Kamra will continue to upgrade JF-17 block1 with IFR in 2014 - 2015.
Jf-17 block 3 production should start from 2016.
FC-20/J-10 will be available to Pakistan in Late 2015 or beginning of 2016.
*Pakistan has option to purchase additional 18 F-16 block 52. Also, USA might offer Pakistan used/refurbished 14 F-16s, Turkey can upgrade these to block50+ standard.

It will give a good protection against big Indian Navy.
Pakistan Navy is ready to give answer to any aggressor.

Why would you need J11 which is rip off from Su-27 since it is proven in this forum elsewhere that JF-17 can tackle Su-30MKIs with pretty much ease? Better to induct F-16s or JF-17 in PN too which will be more than enough to stop IN.

I think we are still day dreaming....first the dream of 100 MLU'd F-16s...Than the J-10s and now J-11s...!! Surely, we don't know about clue, sign of any initiative taken by our government to provide PN such a fantastic platform....!! Not to mention the financial troubles our government have. Clearly we have to rely on Thunders in our near future until of unless situation improves....

Nah, Su-30MKIs will be a tough job for JF-17 blk 1 but blk2 will be a nice match :)

J11B don't fit in PAF doctrine of Single engine and when J10B with AESA radar and 11 hard point with less maintainess and with less RCS why PAF go for this big Fighter .

@CZAR F6 and A5 had dual engines.... There is no doctrine. It is matter of economics.

The J11 fits nicely into PN but it is not going to be... There is going to be a newer plane and it will take longer to get it. Yes it is a dual engine. Most of the naval planes have dual engines cause in case of engine trouble you just cannot expect airfields on the ocean, can you?

This plan can be part of our future navy if some miracle happens we and get lot of money from some where yes we want to have this but don't have money

IF Pakistan want some sort of fifth gen aircraft then J-11C is the way to go, unless you want The American Silent eagle.

I believe the J-11C has the Silent eagle in mind when created, it's a nice alternative if money is an issue.

Better than any other fourth gen fighters, has internal weapons bay, better engine, by the time it is ready to be inducted, and a lot more.

No, not JF-17 alone..

But Pakistani F-16s, along with JF-17s, integrated with AWACS, and electronic support planes/ground stations etc. can take care of Su-30MKIs over Pakistani Airspace with relative ease....Pakistan F-16s already locked on Su-30MKIs over Lahore and forced them to retreat...rather "escorted" them to retreat.

JF-17 Thunder block-II's radar will have a range of 135km for RCS of 5m^2 ....and since Su-30MKI's RCS is WAY bigger...I'm sure JF-17's will pick up Su-30s like 250km away from border inside india lol...

On topic:

With the speed of developments, Pakistan's Air Power will be greater than Israel in next couple of decades...

But then again, no one can predict future..

If JF-17 Thunder gets AESA, IRST, further up-gradation in avionics, and a possible addition of 2 more hardpoints, then boom!, it will change everything for PAF and Pakistan's airpower..

Although I agree that exercise in Karachi with J-11Bs was with some purpose and PAF may want to see how they can be used in our environment and how effective they would be, but with ability to carry Russian and Chinese weapons they can put IN in trouble if they are available in good numbers and well connected with our assets, they offer much greater range to go after IN ships in deep sea, can carry more weapons, and can launch stand off weapons which will increase reach of Pakistan at sea in air many folds. INs Mig-29 will find difficult to handle them in deep sea as their MKIs will not be there to help them and J-11Bs can launch salvo of air to air multiple seeker missiles which can create similar situation which Indians claim that their MKIs can create against our air force.
Then you have no Idea about our Pune based 2 sqds of MKIs. They are stationed there not only for usual airforce missions but also for maritime missions. So yes they are gonna complement with Mig-29Ks in deep arabian sea too and their very long combat radius(1200+ km with internal fuel) is perfect for that.

Our navy demand this it is not my wish..... And I think JF17 and J11b are too Different.

IMO,Pakistan will go for a specialised variant of Jf-17 for its navy and not an entirely new aircraft because:

1.Economy
2.Local production
3.Airforce already operates them. The current Mirage-5s of PN also follows the same pattern.
4.Absence of a long coastline.

Your navy may go for J-11 if your Air Force also chooses to operate'em.
