Italian PM Renze visits Russia and invites Putin to Milano

PM Renzi was visiting Russia recently and meet Putin.

Renzi also invited Putin to Milano which Putin accepted. Putin said Italy is one of russias most important trade partners.

Its said that Putin is great fan of italia and has a close personal friendship with former PM Berlusconi

This is all very interesting because it started in munich when chancellor Merkel denied the americans support to send weapons to Ukraine.

German chancellor Merkel and french president Hollande meet with Putin and get heavy attacked from McCain for this.

Since Renzi too visited moscow now and even invited Putin this is very interesting. EU foreign representative Mogherini is italian and positive towards russia. Something McCain also heavily attacked.

It looks like EU and russia make a deal over Ukraine.

2. What USA wants is irrelevant as you see at the current development. Eastern european countries cant veto anything because they are too weak and never stand the consequences. There is no need to kick them out because they always fall back into line when you put enough economic pressure on them. USA can't be their main trade partner. You can see this very good at the southstream pipelime project, which was forced to be ended by the EU on bulgaria against their wishs.

So spare me the big words. Evrything in the EU is always decided from Germany, France and Italy and the rest follows. Name me something that romania. ever forced on the central EU nations?

Beside that what do you think you can achieve? Sanctions can end unilateral. That means Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and so on simply end sanctions against russia and move on. On the other side the anti russia member states need the voting of evry single EU country to hold the sanctions or intense them, which you wont get.

The idea of annexing crimea and supporting rebels in Ukraine seemed laughable and outright conspiracy theories until 2013. Russia is far smarter than what you think russia would do i.e Invade countries directly. They would groom the rebel groups in romania. That's how they would began initially
