It would indeed be a seperation if all of the populace extricated itself based on religious beliefs. You cannot change the past by applying a modern context to it, it only serves to skew it for a narrative purpose. Many chose to believe religion as a unifying measure, others chose our constitution, either way you do a disservice to those who believed many colours could live in harmony. Current disagreements with the current polity not withstanding, either debate an idea or simply label it a sermon, you can't disguise one as the other.

It's well within your rights to expouse so, but it's a given for any debate that views be exchanged on their merits. So far Pakistan has been on the loosing side; let's face it... thousands died, half of country gone, all of the above things that you mentioned happened. What was the policy of our state so far? It's high time we start asking questions.

To be devil's advocate; it is a difficult war pakistan is having; from combined conspiracy from kabulistan to iran to our baradars to India; everyone played holi with the blood of Pakistanis. Pakistan managed well with TTP and kabulistan (though it's still being played) but at what cost?
