Israel's army chief says a military operation in Lebanon is realistic scenario

Israel's army chief of staff General Benny Gantz said an Israeli military operation in Lebanon is not only a realistic scenario but a necessary one.

Gantz told Israel's Channel 2 that threats against Israel from Lebanon and Gaza are not a mere campaign of intimidation but a reality pointing out that Israel is considering an increase in the level of its preparedness to emergency level to answer these threats.

Commenting on the Syrian civil war Gantz said that Israel must prepare for all variables that could change at any time. The senior security official praised the state of calm prevailing on the Egyptian front but urged the Israeli people and government not to rely on the current situation as things could change at any moment.

Gantz concluded saying that "with the Palestinians, Iranians and others, Israel lives in a place that does not know calm so if we are weak, we cannot survive". Gantz pointed out to the need to possess strong military and civilian immunity systems to protect Israel.

What odd use of language by these psychotic killers, more victimization and paranoia amongst the Israeli community and international world to make them appear like they have to go and start killing thousands of Lebanese and Palestinians to be able to 'survive'. They've been saying for four years now that they're ready to go into Lebanon and destroy Hezbollah plus cause thousands of civilian casualties but they won't even dare cross the border anymore. If you remember before 2006 and a little bit after that up to 2009 they used to regularly commit incursions into Lebanese territory which lead to a clash between UN forces and Israeli military. Ever since 2010 they never made an attempt except recently where a mine went off and they were embarrassed about it because they admitted crossing into Lebanese territory.

For Gaza just a couple weeks ago they said they're ready to invade Gaza as well, however when it comes to Gaza they actually do attack every two years. Thanks to Egypt the Palestinians can't get any source for national security. It seems sometime later this year they're going to try and attempt another war on Gaza and we can only hope the Palestinian resistance is prepared and the international world condemns Israel when that time comes. No more suffering for the Palestinian people in Gaza, next time they need to deliver a blow to the IDF to make sure Israel is deterred like they are with Lebanon.

They won't attack Lebanon anytime soon in my opinion, however, it's more than likely they will attack Gaza probably by the end of the year like they always do.

Israeli policy is to wage war against the Palestinian people, probably not against the Lebanese. But, definitely against the Palestinian people, just like in 2012, this time they also will have no choice but resist Israeli aggression. Meanwhile, no violence in the West Bank yet more displaced Palestinians, more demolished homes, and over 10,000 more illegal settlements.

Germans fired many thousands such missiles at London. What they achieved? - NOTHING. They only angered population thats it. IAF can deliver 2000 ton of bombs in 1 air raid. Thats much more than all Iranian super duper missiles combined. And we can do 3 such raids a day, 90 a month.

Threatening Gaza might work as poor Palestinians are defenseless ( Thank to their Jihadist Arab brothers ) but when it comes to Lebanon its no longer a joke cos Hezbollah has the power and will to hit targets in Tel aviv and other important places which can bring pain to Israel .

Colonialism and oppression is Nazism, Palestinians don't occupy Israeli land, demolish their homes, kill them, arrest them, steal their resources. That's what Israel does, it wages social, political, economic war against the Palestinians because it seeks to annex their land and expel them. This is the reality that you acknowledge but still justify. Palestinians have every right to fight for their survival, no quiet in their land no quiet in Israel.
