Israeli Hospital Assists Needy Palestinian Children

An Israeli hospital, Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, which is associated with Tel Aviv University’s Sackler Faculty of Medicine, has teamed up with Living Bread International Church under a new project called “Rescue the Child” which aims to assist Palestinian children in Gaza, as well as Judea and Samaria, by providing them with badly needed medical assistance in Israel.

Karen Dunham, the director of Living Bread International Church who has been dubbed the Mother Theresa of Israel, decided to launch this project after approaching an Israeli soldier about the deplorable conditions that existed within the maternity ward in a Gazan hospital. The IDF soldier responded by stating, “Calm down. We’re going to show you how to bring those children out and get them some help and coordinate it so you can bring them out of Gaza.”

Dunham asserted in retrospect about this incident that she knew “the Lord had done something tremendous.” She “went around Jerusalem looking for a hospital that would take the children, until she “met a pastor who said that he knew of a hospital that has great compassion.” One month after that date, the Israeli authorities saw to it that the “Rescue the Child” program was approved, in place, and coordinated with the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center.

Dunham asserted, “It is such a move of God to reach out in love and compassion to these children, who were dying and had such little hope. […]There are no borders that the Lord cannot move. Israel will be caring for children of families that threw missiles at them– this is very big news in the heavenly realm. Love will not fail. ” Aharon Cholow, the director of international resources for Friends of Assaf Harofeh, declared, “I believe that as an Israeli citizen, we always have a right to defend ourselves from any aggression. However, we will always stretch out our hand for peace and show compassion to the suffering of children.”

The Harofeh Medical Center is known as a “beacon of coexistence in Israel” and is the third largest hospital in Israel. Located between Tel Aviv and Ben-Gurion International Airport, the hospital serves a mixed population of Arabs and Jews, middle class and low income families. In fact, the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center is named in honor of Assaf Ben Brachiahu, who was known as the Jewish Hippocrates and who authored “The Oath of the Jewish Doctor,” which teaches, “And you shall not harden your hearts against the poor and needy, but heal them.” The medical oath of Assaf Ben Brachiahu is being practiced by Jewish doctors in Israel to date, who routinely overlook the violence caused by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in order to work to heal all of their patients, regardless of their race or religion.

I hope this will not be used in a propaganda against the Palistains, making the Palistain being the villan and Israel playing the victum card as usual when struggle arises. But in good light this is excellent, Palistians and ISraelis working together against racist occupation . I hope it shed some light that their ARE some ISraeli that will go out of thier way to save Palistians life against the Zionists. These are the True Jews, that had followed the teachings of Prophet Mosses (PBUH). These news never get seen in the light of day there is also a story of Israeli boy being saved by Palistain Man . These news never get shown this is no doubt to put up a culture that is Arab muslim vs Israeli Jew which is completly wrong.

Finally some good news on this front.

But Israelis reading this: you must also treat your Palestinian prisoners better, structurally. Especially the younger ones.

It's tough to claim multi-ethnic Israel is racist as opposed to the homogeneous Arabs and international law considers medical care one of the fruits of the occupation - something expected to be provided by the occupying power, though Israel in its humanity goes far beyond the basic requirements.

Even when Israel was being bombarded by rockets from Gaza last year, there were IDF officers busy working with Gazans to supply food and medical supplies: link

The Arabs try to get you to embrace hatred to reject Zionists. They've mostly succeeded, haven't they?

SOlomon there are a lot of Israelis are now realising the fault in calling an Israeli and being Jew. You can't act like this if you are a true Jew and those Israel emntioned in the article are regretting to being in ISrael

Not at all, Solomon Its people like you who erase such brutlity and crimes against humanity that ISraels does. Lying about it and wishing the Palistan death which has no different to the Nazis on the Jews duing WW2 (which Muslims in that period saved a lot of Jews I WILL add). People like you who held up a NAZI veiw of the world who think they different and superior to the rest of the human race. SO yeah its the ARab hate but the ISraeli racist hate that your harbour

But you misinterpret what these mean, ARSENAL6. These speeches show Israel has freedom of speech, including freedom to express controversial opinions and even insults. That these speeches don't usually translate into extreme action can be seen by noting that Arabs are ~20% of Israel's citizenry and have safe and effective access to the same justice system Jews do.

Furthermore, the range of Jewish opinion and society is so great that if I decide to become an anti-Zionist tomorrow there will still be a Jewish community that will welcome me. Mercy, justice, and self-criticism - these are among Israel's greatest strengths and a false-flagger like yourself may envy the result yet lacking the courage to try duplicating it you resort to demonization and distortion.

You can't act like this if you are a true Jew and those Israel emntioned in the article are regretting to being in ISrael
It's normal for a percentage of voluntary emigrants to return to their previous homes. Of course, nobody should be surprised that not all the Jews kicked out of Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Libya, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, and Pakistan like their current situation.

I do indeed personally know Jews who were saved by Albanian Muslims in WWII. As Michael Totten noted when he visited, these Muslims sympathize with Israel's Jews, not their Arab enemies. If you're willing to dig - and I doubt you are - you'll confirm for yourself that the Mufti of Jerusalem was a Nazi ally who did everything he could to rally Muslims to pressure the Brits to keep Jews out of Palestine, then urge Hitler to send these same Jews to extermination camps. In the moral balance, these things weigh heavily against the rejectionist Arabs of Palestine.

People like you who held up a NAZI veiw of the world who think they different and superior to the rest of the human race.
If some people or communities are better than others I think that's a judged by their collective deeds in context, not their self-identification with a particular group. (If you don't believe me, just visit your local prison.) So if Jews like me happen to be better than Muslims like you, it's because of the path we as individuals chose to take in life.

I'll never be a Nazi because like the Jews of Israel I won't be out there rounding you up and sending you to extermination camps, etc.; on the other hand, it's easy to judge that if the Jews of Israel suffered some terrible fate today, you'd be on the streets rejoicing within minutes - less out of a demonstration of strength, perhaps, than as a demonstration of moral weakness.
