ISRAELI COMMANDOS HEAD TO CYPRUS FOR LARGEST LAND-BASED DRILL

.
So no full autonomy or anything resembling sovereignty. There's the problem. Why not?

They don't have the right to the sea shores of Gaza?
militery will use against us when hamas can take control

.
so why do we give them jobs?
its better then 20000 chineese that come here sleep here and can
Cause assimilation
People who come to work with legal license have amount of time which they can stay in Israel, and they shouldn't be able to stay even if they marry or bring kids in Israel.

I'm all up for Seaport bro, I don't care for airport or what ever, altho airport thro Jordan and Egypt would be better idea cause air traffic in small country is eh.
But security should be maintained.
If Israel think it can safely guard the seaport and all the goods which pass there, I'm all up for it, altho there's no 100% in security.

I think I can safely say that most, if not all would agree to these conditions. However, Egypt would never agree to air traffic responsibilities because it would mean handing the responsibilities of that aspect to it, and undermining Palestinian sovereignty. But I realize where you're coming from. The problem is getting the security measures agreed on. @Falcon29 would be able to speak more about this than I would. He says it is essential for the Palestinians to not be stripped of having their own arms. Not for the sake of attacking Israel, but for the principle of having one's own defensive strength. You can't blame them in the least. East Jerusalem, the WB conditions and travel between the 2 states would be left to figure out. No small feat, to say the least!

I don't mind giving them an airport, don't get me wrong, it's just not possible to sustain in a small country like Israel, that's why I think an airport in Jordan or Egypt would be a better idea.
Palestinians Israeli conflict never was easy, and it's not because lack of trying, it's because lack of lands in my opinion.

Not if they agree to equitable security measures, which they seem to be willing to do so.
Palestinian authority should take over Gaza, and remove hamas and rest of the organizations out of here, then seaport will become more feasible

But if it's on their land, why should it be a problem for Israel? They can decide to put it in Gaza or the WB. Shouldn't affect anything but their territory. The problem is control over the decision-making process, that's why I am very pessimistic of any resolution ever happening, unfortunately.

Ever worked in an airport? air traffic is complicate as it is, and if they'll place an airport near Ben Gurion air port it will cause a security hazard.
2 Planes colliding in the air is only one reason why it's a bad scenario.

I've never worked in an airport, but I've been through many and I understand what you're saying. However, they must have that right just as much as Israel does. Details can be worked out after that basic concept is achieved. The problem is we can't even get to that preliminary stage. Asking Hamas to be dissolved of any authority over Gaza is too much, IMO. But they also need to make compromises which I believe they are willing.

What was the topic of this thread? lol

"Irking Israel, Turkey and Northern Cyprus Begin Military Drills

Israeli media reported that Turkey's drill, caused friction with Israel in the latest chapter of tensions caused by the search for natural gas in the sea off Cyprus's coast.

Last week, Turkey announced that it will hold a military drill with live ammunition southwest of the Cypriot city of Paphos. The Turks said in a statement that during one of the days of the drill, Turkish warships and submarines will operate in the area."

Note:
The joint Israel-Cyprus exercise drew criticism from the opposition in Cyprus, which claimed that holding a joint exercise on Cypriot territory constituted a “dangerous development.”

On Tuesday, the Cyprus Ministry of Defense rejected this criticism, saying the country also held joint operations and had agreements with Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan.

Last month, Cypriot Minister of Defense Christoforos Fokaides visited Israel. At the end of the visit, Fokaides continued to Jordan, where he met with Jordan’s King Abdullah II.
